Good Morning chums ,well yesterday didn't go to plan as when I got to the hospital instead of having the expected procedure I had to undergo another battery of test for a couple of hours
I was poked, prodded, multiple Xrays injected with dyes of various sorts, and had yet more blood taken then the Dr sent me home as he has to write out a report for the ccnsultant to let him know his findings.
I would have liked to have known as well, but apparently its only the'Mr Dcotors' who are allowed that info
I'm just the lowly patient who has been shuttled around from place to place.
So still no further forward ,just have to wait a bit longer to see what will happen next
Its a bit of a pain in more ways than one, as when I came home I was totally wiped out ,and spent the rest of the day on the sofa, and still feel a bit bleugh this morning.
The nurse comes today to redress my bandages, I shall see if she knows anything.
The drain is becoming quite a nuisance as so many of the surrounding stitchs have fallen out, every time I move the tube just keeps dragging on the hole which is not doing much good as if you imagine having a hole in your sock, and keep wiggling your finger in it ,it just makes it even biggerSo once more its just wait and see whatt will happen next
.My DD said at least when they do something they will have a good idea of whats going on inside you Mum, and after 6 plus week you have less in front of you than behind you so fingers crossed it won't be much longer.
She is starting to stress a bit as two weeks tomorrow she is off to New York for a week to see her son and pregnant DIL, but I keep telling her not to fret as her sister ,my youngest, is only round the corner, and will keep her up to date with anything going on.
So its onwards and upwards once more for a little longer

Jackie, what an absolute pita....But with your drain, get some wound tape or whatever tape you have for skin and tape the tube down so it's comfortable, and won't move so nothing jiggles about in the hole. It took me way longer than you'd think to think of this when I hd one...

Sorry to hear things didn’t go as you thought they would Jackie. At least they will have full information when you do have it done.

What a PITA JackieI bet behind that stiff upper lip you feel pretty low. Awful to have your hopes raised , just to be sent home again feeling no further forwardYou are a strong woman, , this is but a blip. Thinking off you xx7

Hi Jackie
Sorry things didn't go to plan.
My mother went through exactly the same. I made her a cross body bag out of some surplus padded fabric. Made to measure for the drainage bag. She found this far more comfy and it made the tube less likely to move as much.
It wasn't pretty or the height of fashion but it did the job.7 -
Sorry, sorry , sorry to hear that news.
If you took all the good wishes from the folk on this forum & added all the care & love from your lovely family we would have had you up, about and dancing round weeks ago.. but sadly whilst our money saving advice is legendary our medical assistance is rather low key!
No doubt you are positive, even positively fed up!
Stick in there ... we are thinking of you
