Oh my gosh I’ve only just seen this note on pg 30. Thank you @enthusiasticsaver and @Suffolk_lass for managing this. I’ve saved £1000 each month from my last post. So 6 x £1000 - July - December, which will be wiped out when I get married 😅. Everyone have a lovely Xmas 🎄 and happy new year 🥳 xxx

Lomcevak said:#18 reporting £4,000 for November and £7,260 for December, which makes a total of £78,628.29 for 2023.I've also crossed a major milestone this month, with a total of £501,322.21 saved since I first started on these challenges in 2012 (a year in which I recorded a grand total of ... £0). The overall position is even better than that, as I don't count compounding or growth in that total - e.g. my SIPP, which this challenge prompted me to open in 2014, has had contributions of around £210k since then but now sits somewhere north of £360k. So my huge thanks to @slowlyfading for setting me on this path; I effectively had no savings at all when I started, and it has very genuinely been life-changing.

#34 declaring £1265 for December. Anything spare at the end of the month is being thrown at the mortgage. That gives me a total of £16249.48 for the year 87% of the target. I'm really happy with that and wouldn't have done it without this site. Thanks to @slowlyfading for all their work in running this challenge. James240 said:#49 reporting in!!
Well at the end of October I was able to save £1,287.27 which now puts me at a total of £9,349.85 for the year so far!!
Only £650.15 to go!!! Which going by the overtime I have done this month I reckon I should smash once I get paid it at the end of November!in November. As I get paid at the end of each month November, December and January's spare pay will be paying off that bill that is currently sitting on my credit card
Not the start I wanted to 2024 or the end of 2023 I wanted, however from the end of February 2024 I will be able to start in earnest again.
Savings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.582 -
Sorry to hear that @James240, but you still did well this year. I must admit, I always keep some cash away from the main savings so that the credit card may be used, but is always cleared, deploying the emergency fund. Hopefully see you over on the 2024 thread!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
