bad so I’m going to drop out and review. Wouldn’t it be easier to just accept my weight? I wish I could as it appears impossible to change it!

Reporting STS for the purposes of the challenge which hopefully keeps the little extra loss for next week! It’s hard loosing weight at this time of year, so I’m trying to count STS as a win, well better than the gain I expected3

Hi, may I join in (again)? Had a nurse appointment last week and weight was heaviest I've ever been - I also had high blood pressure readings which I'm sure is related
Having a blood pressure monitor fitted next week and I'm doing my best to lose weight, exercise more, drink less and eat more healthily in the hope my BP has reduced as I am keen to avoid medication if possible.
So it's been a good reality check (shock!) and motivation to get back on the weight loss journey; I'm taking the positive from the situation!
Can you please put me down for 7lb by end of March?
Other goals are dog walk daily (except two days a week when I'm in the office), hit step target daily, swim twice a week (going to Aqua Fit tonight so will count that). In terms of eating, it's back to WFPB way of eating - protein smoothie / overnight oats for breakfast, soup and salad for lunch, dinner including wholegrain / small portion complex carbs, protein and loads of veggies. It takes more planning but I feel so good when I stick to it!5 -
@Gingerlily - I incorporate raw into my diet by putting roughly chopped parsnip, swede, carrot, onion, cabbage, celeriac etc into a food processor and pulsing it until it looks like rice - ideal for using instead of grains etc and you can use a variety of low fat/calorie dressings to add additional flavour if you want (I use either balsamic, or lemon juice/ cider vinegar with finely chopped herbs )
I haven't weighed this week as I know that I've not had a good one due to a birthday celebration - I'm annoyed with myself that I've not put in the effort! Tomorrow is another day though and I'm going to do my best for the next week!DNF: £708.92/£1000
JSF: £708.58/£1000

Hi
I like the sound of that leftattheteafficlights, think it will work well for me with different dressings. Have never tried swede and parsnips raw before am very curious as they are my favourite cooked vegetables after soggy sprouts.
Thank you for the 1/2 stone medal Brambling, I’m still at the 1/2 stone mark after gaining +1lb at weigh-in this morning.
It’s been another good week despite the small gain. I’m weighing most days at the moment and yesterdays pancake feast resulted in a 1.5lb gain overnight! Is only once a year I have them at both meals though. This coming week I’m continuing rather low carb and will increase exercise now my fitness level has improved a bit. I’m definitely walking faster and not having to stop up some steep hilly bits so will add a beginners cardio workout in as I’m still only managing less than half a minute on the rebounder.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025
