T3sco have chestnut mushrooms on offer for 79p... C/C deal until 19th.
From the 'tinterweb',
Mushrooms are a rich, low-calorie source of fiber, protein, and antioxidants. They may also mitigate the risk of developing serious health conditions, such as Alzheimer's, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
I would add, I use them in tray bakes as I do not like fried food, (fish & chips are exempt), and I marinade them in a spice and lemon juice... to kill the bland taste, I also use to fill out a chilli / tomato sauce-based food.
Have a good weekend all.
LOL, will be sick of them in a couple of weeks.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

Morning buddies,
I love shrooms @jennystarpepper and often blitz them up to add a umami type flavour bomb (Ottolenghi) to lots of dishes.
So it's another half lb loss for me this week which means a total of 7/14 (think last weeks half lb was missed 🤔) so I am happy. Looking forward to a couple of decent walks over the weekend, potting up some spring planters for front door and doing something healthy with some smoked haddock from freezer.
Have a great weekend everyone 🙂3 -

Well done everyone who got on the scales this week which was something I avoided
SuffolkSue it looks like you found your mojo this week
I hope you feel better now Smudgy
In a moment of honestly yesterday i sorted some my 'thin' clothes stored under the bed and acknowledge if i could get back to the weight i was when i wore them would i still fit them or want to wear some to them? TBH i think if my skinny jeans fitted around the waist I don't think my legs will as i don't walk the miles i use to! two big bags for charity and a pile to try on as they may fit if they don't I'll probably charity shop them as well. Unfortunately there are still stuff to consider which I put back to think on. At least the suit in the wardrobe will be donated as it is too big and last worn about 15 years ago when work clothes was more formal
I hope every one has a good week,
