Gosh I'm so sorry I've been awol, not sure what happened, so I fell off the wagon, burnt it and used the fire to bake cake
+4lb
However the good news is I have now booked a holiday in August for the kids and I, am a little nervous as it's the first holiday since my husband died and the the first in 22 years I'm travelling without him. But we need something to look forwards too and I obviously need motivation to stay on track. 😂'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. 2 lb Off please Brambling.
My jean problem continues, the ones I have are a good few lb off fitting, the 3 stores I would have gone to are now closed (high street) and the online prices are just silly. Good news is that I do not have to go Marks for underwear as I have found new stuff hiding that now fits.
SIRENS, a holiday is great motivation for making a few changes.
Brie, I hope Mr B is doing well.

I haven't weighed myself this week - mainly because I'm away from my digital scales! I have been doing a lot of walking, but also a lot of eating on a few days off. Just about fitted into my walking trousers...
Back to sensible eating and no booze for the rest of this week.
@jennystarpepper finding nice fitting jeans is a nightmare! I bought two pairs of a style which fits me nicely in the hope they will last me a while.
Hope this week is a good week everyone :-)

welcome back on the new wagon SIRENS a holiday is a good thing to aim for, are you going overseas or aiming for a UK one?
Jenny I'm embarrassed to say i have enough pairs of jeans in about 4 difference sizes some of which i fear will not fit me once i loose the weight as I'm not convinced my legs will every be as slim as they were when I walked 2 miles each way to work every day plus at least two 10kg walks a weekLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin3 -
We are going to Italy, the children chose it, I have never been myself, so it will be a new adventure for the three of us
I also have 2 pairs of jeans the same, one black, one blue and they fit me perfectly, funnily when I was I. M&S recently and lady stopped me and asked me to look in the back of her jeans to see the label as she said after many tries she sticks to those as the are perfect for her 😂'You have brains in your head. @Pixie_Cosmo I am a 'funny' shape, (short) with long legs and a small torso, the new fitting / style are amusing me.. Mom, Dad and boyfriend... I would just like a pair of my backside does not look that big.
@Brambling, I know what you mean about the walking, I must admit that my body shape has changed a bit, middle-aged spread and someone on another forum talking about how their bust went up XXX sizes when hitting a certain age has been a bit of a motivation for me.
@SIRENS Italy is lovely, but the ice cream is better, think I developed a bit of an addiction when I was last there.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

Hello
Well done everyone.
Weighday -2.5lbs please Brambling. It’s been a good week, salad is back on the menu and there was plenty of movement and exercise including 2 big hikes.I’ve eaten out twice and enjoyed a glass of wine with the meal without wanting a 2nd glass. Same with chocolate which I used to eat everyday, I’ve had one truffle every other night without the urge to scoff the lot. This is not normal for me! Long may it last.
This week I’ll stick with rather low carb and getting in lots of different cooked and raw veg and continue with intuitive eating. I mentioned how nice it was not having to measure and track everything I eat so I hope I’ve not jinxed that. And I will set up the rebounder as still not got round to doing it.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025
