All done with the blood pressure cuff, it was certainly not enjoyable and was counting down the hours to getting rid of it!  Just got to wait for results now.
When they removed mine the nurse at the surgery gave me the results there and then maybe because it was low so no treatment  :) she did ask me why did i have it as my blood pressure is low but it was because on a doctor visit it was normal so 'high for me'  :D and my family history is not good with 5 out of 6 siblings on meds for high blood pressure so they keep a eye on it

I'm sneaking in with a 1/2lb loss which i forgot to post yesterday, not a good quarter for me but at least its a loss!

Morning from a very frosty and cold part of the country today.  I'm off hillwalking shortly so wrapped up well.  I'm down 1lb this week and happy with that.  Lots of good steady losses on here which is great, it's surprisingly motivational being part of this virtual group - who would have guessed ?

Have a good weekend everyone 😊

Not a good week, eaten badly and not been out walking, plus seriously lacking in energy and motivation (Auntie Flo always knocks me out, sorry if TMI).

New week and hopefully some determination. Has anyone tried low carb? I've bought a veggie low carb recipe book, as it seems I am edging towards a 'time of life' when low carb might work better in many ways. I am really struggling to lose weight this time, and hoping a new appoach might work better. I really need to sort myself out!

I'm low carb, also at that age... IBS is triggered by bread so have stopped eating it.  I do have a packet of Melba toast with soup which are about 70 cal a packet.  I've cut out pasta, rice and if we have spuds I put one on the plate for show... if I eat it, I eat it and that way I don't feel like I am missing out.

I didn't realise that 'middle age spread' is a real thing until I started losing a few LB.

@jennystarpepper thanks! I've got food to use up (moneysaving!) before I go really low carb. This week I'm going to stop potatoes, bread and pasta etc with my eve meal,  and have more green veg instead. Plus greek yogurt and nuts for breakfast, instead of yogurt and fruit. Use-up-root-veg soup for lunch. I'll see how I get on with that, and see if it does make a difference. Hope you have a good week!
  • 3 LB Off please Brambling.

I am not enjoying the cold weather, knees, back, neck and lots of other parts are complaining, I think the cold spell is also making me hungry.

Well done to anyone still with us / checking in, have a good week everyone.
