Well considering we were on holiday for 10 days I guess having gained only 2 pounds is not too bad. Particularly considering how much cake was consumed. And beer...... I had hoped that the massive increase in walking about being tourists would offset more but alas, no!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. STS for me, anxiety with the neighbours... diary keeping ends in a few days, thankfully.
@shabbychic12, I don't think your gain is bad, holidays are for enjoying yourself.
@Brie, hope you enjoyed your holiday, we have had 2x BBQ over the weekend, Mr Pepper announced he had just been waiting for me to tell him told fire it up, so I have been sat under the heater while he cooks, did tell him if he had reminded me I can sit with him and be toasty would have asked for one sooner.
@TornErse, @Gingerlily, @Pixie_Cosmo and @CCW007 well done on your progress and anyone else.... I must admit quitting smoking was easy and less stressful.
I'm just trying to get to the next quarter.... better weather and another new start, have a good week everyone.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

Hello
Well done everyone.
Check-in day for me. Unable to weigh as I’m on holiday and no scales.
It’s been a rather carby week. Quite by coincidence there has been a “healthy” type cafe moments away from both of our locations and I’ve enjoyed some gluten free desserts. I’ve managed to balance relaxing days with active ones so maybe I can offset those carbs. Our final location we move to in a couple of days is in a less touristy area so expect my carbs will be in the form of nutrient dense sugary fruits and alcohol mostly.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025

Reporting another 1 lb loss (making total of 3 lb).
But I bought a pack of 12 Lees' snowballs today. (I've reported elsewhere on MSE that the weight of the indvidual snowballs has reduced from 18.3g to 14.25g since I last had them. As you would expect, total calories for each have also reduced though there's also been a slight change to the recipe and saturated fat content has remained exactly the same. I've eaten two today - celebrating that lost pound!4 -
0.5 off lve given myself a stern talking to as my weight is becoming a bit of a joke. 1 step forward at a time xxCount down to retirement 20235

Happy to report I've lost 3lbs this week! I think the lower carbs is working for me :-) I have been walking more and doing some house chores as well. Plenty of salads and veg must be doing me good as well. Really looking forward to getting outside this weekend for a walk in the country, and hopefully sone gardening as well. Hope you've all had a positive week.3
