This morning i had my pre-op assessment, all went well and took less than an hour, BUT ... I asked how long until my op and was told the pre-op assessment lasts for 6 months, and if I haven't had my op by then they'll need to re-do it :( So much for it being soon ...

Wow, that is not good. I would assume pre op assessment means imminently...

You would think so wouldn't you Doingitanyway :(

This morning I'm having a banking shuffle, start of the month and sorting budgets etc. I've paid for my garden waste collection for 2026 (£71), that comes out of my household pot so already accounted for. I was very surprised they haven't increased the price from last year, our council are one of the worst in the country so was expecting at least a £5 or £10 hike.

So the month ahead is looking okay at the moment - obviously I'm at work for all of it which means less opportunity to spend money :) although that pesky Christmas lark is just round the corner so I will need to keep a close eye on spends there.

Today will be a normal pottering kinda day. There are major roadworks going on locally for the next couple of weeks so unless I need to venture out I will be staying at home mainly.

I think you’re waiting for the same op my daughter had this year - gall bladder? She was told the same thing but wasn’t waiting long before she was called in.

I hope you get a date for your op soon.  My daughter had her gall bladder removed a few months ago and says she hasn't felt as well for ages.
mid December, just before Christmas seems to be a time when people decline an appointment and slots become available.

Thanks, yep gallbladder op ... mid December would work well for me, I'm not interested in Christmas:)

This morning I woke up with some motivation for a change, I have stripped the bed, done 3 loads of washing and cleaned the conservatory windowframes. I need to do the windows later but the frames, all the way up to the roof get covered in those little dots of spider poo (??) and cobwebs, so they're all done.

The tip is open now so will take a load of stuff there in a bit, then potter some more before the football later.

Been to the tip, popped into Sainsburys and got some veggies to make some soup. Bedding has been dried and ironed and bed remade. I'm feeling a bit wobbly today, thanks perimenopause for the random anxiety that kicks in for no reason, so am trying to keep myself busy to take my mind off it. Just gone over the grouting in the bathroom with a grouting pen, looks better than it did!
