    I used the dryer in yesterdays free hours, todays washing was 2 cashmere jumpers (they were my aunts), they can't go in the dryer so thought it best to use the washer at that time.

    Dinner is underway, chicken is in, veggies are all prepped. I've emptied the dishwasher, tidied the kitchen, brought in the garden furniture cushions and put away the garden furniture for the winter. I say put away, it all stacks into itself and then has a big waterproof cover over it. The cushions will get steam cleaned before putting away, may well be a half-term task though as i don't have the oomph right now.

    I've sent a shirty email to Boots, I've been trying to resolve an issue with my contact lenses for over a month now and despite calling their customer services 6 times, and each time being told someone will look into it and call me back, I haven't had one call. Fed up of calling, I've moved to the complaints department now :)

    I've checked my Monzo savings pots and the interest rates currently are dire (2.75%?) so I do need to look into moving some of my savings. It's a shame as I love the pots but I can get 4-4.5% elsewhere so needs to be done.

    Roast dinner has been made, eaten, cleared up and am now enjoying a peppermint tea with the football.

    The sun is out this afternoon, I'd love to go for a walk down the beach but still not really got the energy for that. I can hear people cutting their grass but surely its far too wet for that?!

    Another weekend nearly gone, this has been a very good one - Yesterday we went out for lunch with Mum, my brother and his wife, to a local very posh restaurant, it was lovely. Then I had a message from the original hottie asking if I was free and fancied going over for the evening, anyway, a lovely time was had, I got home at 9am this morning and very little sleep was had, so a very early night planned for me :wink:

    And another weekend rolls round. This week hasn't been too bad and there's only one left before half-term :)
    I have started blitzing the housework already tonight - the kitchen is done, the conservatory is done, just waiting for floors in both to dry. The other rooms are all tidy, just need a clean. I'll potter and get some more done tonight but I also want to catch up on Celebrity Traitors (was at pub quiz last night so missed it), and want to chill a bit too.

    Tomorrow will be food shopping, a decent walk and football, Sunday will be more football and going to see a comedian in the evening with my best mate.

    Morning, half-term is finally here!

    Last night I went out for a friends birthday, they hired a bar and it was a lovely evening, I only spent £2 (was driving and not remotely thirsty, so only bought a lemonade), managed to park in a side street so no car park charges either :)

    This morning I have checked the banking, with one week left of the month it is looking fairly healthy as long as I don't go on a mad shopping splurge. I do need a food shop and petrol top-up, but they are within the budget,

    So this week ... it will generally be a chilling reset kinda week. I do have my nails appointment on Thursday and my pre-op assessment on Friday, but other than that it will be a catching up on life admin, housework and hopefully a couple of nice walks and coffees with friends kinda week.

    This afternoon Octopus are doing free electricity between 12-3, so the washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher are all ready to go, the grass may get a cut if it isn't too wet out there, the oven might go on for an early dinner too. I need a shower so the hairdryer will get to do its thing too :)

    No big to do list for me this holiday, I want to have a general clean, tidy and reset. I do have a few jobs that need doing but nothing major:

    * Pay in cheque
    * Clean outdoor cushions and put away for winter
    * Buy lightbulbs
    * Buy drill
    * Put door hooks back up
    * Some Christmas shopping

    This morning I have been to the tip, popped in to B&Q to get some new sealant and some Sticks Like Sh*t. Then went to see Mum, have spent a couple of hours cleaning and tidying for her and now its time for a coffee and a few jobs at home before an afternoon of football.
