Friend has just messaged to cancel the walk due to a hangover - tbh the weather is looking pretty rubbish so I don't mind too much. Instead I am going to crack on, try and get a few more bits done from the list (and probably lots that isn't on the list), maybe look for a few pennies that can be made too.

Off to a good start, my bedroom has been cleaned, just needs a hoover now. I've also listed 4 items on Vinted that belonged to my Aunt (3 designer coats and a designer jumper), they've been packed away into the Vinted cupboard so downstairs feels tidier now too.

Bacon sandwiches have been made and consumed, all bits in the dishwasher, ready to go on at 2pm :)

2 of the coats have sold already and been parcelled up and sent on their way, £155 coming from those which will go into her estate. House has been hoovered, dishwasher run and emptied, washing done, bathroom cleaned, started packing my workbag and have arranged to meet friends tomorrow for lunch in a garden centre coffee shop.

And so the last day of the holidays is here. I got up super early this morning as I always struggle to sleep the night before we go back, so I wanted to make sure I am tired tonight. I stripped my bed, it has been washed and I dried it in the tumble dryer as it is raining, bed has been remade. I've also made a big shepherds pie and done green beans, broccoli and peas with it, and am now waiting for it to cool down so I can portion it out and freeze meals for lunches at work. Calories have been worked out and everything :)

Later I need to take Mum to the solicitors to sign some forms, other than that it is a making sure everything is in order kinda day, ready to go back tomorrow. The original hottie did message me wanting to meet up this afternoon but I can't as I'm taking Mum out. I have also got 2 more items listed on Vinted that I had kept when I sorted my clothes but when I put them on they don't feel right, they are a bit tight and scratchy so they're gone.

First day back is done, my head is spinning, so much information to take in and the first day highlights how relaxed I have become over the last few weeks. Early night planned!

I sold the second Vinted item today too, so packaged and posted both after work. Only £8 in total but it all helps and gets rid of more items that won't be worn.

I have prepped my overnight oats for breakfast and I've got my lunch ready too in the fridge. Recycling bin has gone out for the morning, one load of washing is doing its thing and I'm just about to have a shower then will have a couple of hours chilling before bed.

Just popping in as I catch up with old diaries.
It was great to see your very long list for the summer holidays, it's been a staple of this diary for so long.

You mentioned DS' friend staying on the sofa, is this long term for you as you also mentioned not being able to make noise in the kitchen as she was asleep?

Hope the 2nd day of school goes well.

Hello Sudonum-mum, yep it will be long-term, I really like having her here though, she's a positive influence on ds and its nice having her around too. Now I'm back at work I tend to get up and be out the house within 20 minutes, so not a problem in the mornings.

    Today was a much more productive day at work, feels like I'm getting back in the swing of things a bit more today. I've also had 3 positives on the health front today;

    1. Found out work are paying for a flu jab for us this year, so will be claiming that.
    2. Had my mammogram results and all is fine
    3. Had a letter for an appointment for my pre-op assessment, October 8th, so hopefully won't be too long to wait after that for my op :)

Tonight is pub quiz night, then one more get up before the weekend!

Morning all, another 2 hour free electricity session today from Octopus today between 12-2 so the dishwasher is all loaded up ready to go, same for the washing machine and the tumble dryer. I cut the grass yesterday during that free session so that job is done. The oven will be on too doing a bunch of jacket potatoes which will do for my lunches this week and some going in the freezer for another day.

I have booked in for an assessment at the gym on Tuesday - my gym membership covers 5 local leisure centres and one has recently installed egym equipment, basically you have an assessment (height, weight, strength, mobility etc), then each time the machines configure it for you. This is what I need as I never know if I am doing too much or not enough, so am looking forward to this.

The rest of today will be spent planning for the week ahead, I'm trying to be more organised with lunches, what I'm wearing to work, what my goals are for the week etc, as otherwise I don't feel I achieve much. I am going to the theatre with a friend on Wednesday and will probably miss the pub quiz this week as we have an event at work I need to help out with on Thursday. Missing my football this weekend, international games are boring :(
