I went for my assessment on Tuesday and it was amazing - so this was the breakdown:

    Actual age: 52
    Metabolic age: 62
    Flexibility age: 62
    Upper body strength age: 34
    Core strength age: 21
    Leg strength age: 21
    Total combined bio age: 48

So my walking obviously pays off massively for my legs and core but the rest needs a lot of work!

I've been to the gym this morning and done a session, then filled up with petrol and done the food shop. Also done two loads of washing and the oven is on to roast a chicken. Today I need to catch up on the housework, see Mum then a day of batch cooking and football. Really looking forward to it, it's been a crazy busy week at work and next week will be the same as its open evening, so at least one late night.

I've been a couple of times this week but tonight feel like I've got the start of a cold so had a hot bath and an early night instead. I bought a Holland and Barrett advent calendar this year instead of the M&S one, its a better price and almost all full size items inside. Anyway, as September is a crazy relentless month at work I decided to start it now rather than wait for December - I did a focus group last night which paid me £50, so that covered it. I figured each day I get a nice treat that in effect cost £2 each, which seems like a huge bargain to me. So far I've had an Antipodes hyaluronic acid face mask, a Ceraphil facial cleanser and today I had a bar of soap that smells amazing :)

The usual weekend routine of laundry, housework, visiting Mum and football. Another busy week at work, open evening this week so a late night which then means playing catchup for the rest of the week.

Advent calendar is going very well - a small natural deodorant that smells amazing, literally like a bottle of Malibu :) also had a tub of hyaluronic acid capsules and today had a facial serum. So far they are all items that I will use and would probably buy them again, very impressed so far!

An unusual midweek update from me this morning, I'm off work at the moment with covid, there is so much of it around again, so many kids at school have it, it was inevitable it was coming my way again. I was at home yesterday, working on my laptop in bed, as soon as I got up to make a cup of tea / feed the cat etc I was exhausted. This morning I feel a bit swimmy and still a sneeze monster, so have made a coffee and got back into bed.

The better part of my week was seeing Oasis at Wembley on Saturday, it was absolutely incredible, best night out ever! I managed to do it relatively cheaply too, we ate before we left home, took snacks with us, parked in a side street in West London and got the tube in (£4.40). The prices in there were insane - £28.00 for 4 cans of beer, £35 for a bucket hat ... no thanks!! I did buy a bottle of water nearby (£1.50) and petrol was about £20, so not too bad i reckon!

I think I had it last week too - felt rubbish and was off work for 4 days, have gone back this week but am finding it so hard. My head is swimmy all the time, I'm utterly exhausted and could sleep at any point! Roll on the weekend! Hope you feel better soon x

Feeling a lot better today, still testing positive and has now turned into more of a cough and a voice like Barry White but at least I've managed to get out of bed today :)

A great football result last night has set me up for a good weekend. I've stripped all the beds this morning and they are in the washing machine / tumble dryer currently, making the most of the two free hours of electricity, thank you Octopus!

I keep pottering and doing small jobs, then am tired again so sit and have a rest before doing some more. I have got a Sainsburys order being delivered this afternoon so have sorted the fridge and binned anything that needed to go. I found a bag of chicken thighs that I'd forgotten were there (not eaten much this week), so they have been cooked with some barbecue sauce and ds and I have just had some for lunch with rice. I've also been round and filled a bin bag with rubbish from the bathroom bins, the bedroom bins and just general bits and bobs laying around. I've sorted the cat litter tray, cleaned the mat her food bowls sit on and mopped the floor in the conservatory. All the windows are open to clear the germs and get some fresh air in, its blowing a hoolie but its lovely and bright out.

Didn't sleep so well last night, I have a very sore throat and congestion. Trying to get bits and pieces done today but so far am struggling after a few minutes, so lots of little laptop breaks will be in order I think,

Another free electricity hour right now from Octopus, so last load of washing is in, oven is on and dishwasher is doing its thing too. I've been round and cleaned the lounge and conservatory, I need to hoover through downstairs still.

Roast chicken will be going in soon, I need to eat a decent meal with lots of veggies as I've just picked at things this week. Other than that todays plan involves football obviously, digging out some warmer dresses for work from my winter clothes now that it's October, trying to sort my hair out before I go back to work tomorrow, maybe some financial planning stuff as I don't seem to have a focus at the moment. Other than that fingers crossed  it will pretty much be  restful, no/low spend day :)
