I bet on Kitty's Child I think it was called, I only bet £1 each way so not really worth it but got some money. Pleased to see they all got round yesterday.
Last day of the holidays today, that means a day to make sure everything is tip top ready to go back tomorrow. Fitbit is currently on charge while I have a coffee (decaff), I need to go and do the food shop this morning but other than that there is nothing particularly pressing today. I want to check over the banking stuff, I feel like I have spent a lot over the last couple of weeks although this will obviously go back to normal once I'm back at work.

Sad that the Easter break is nearly over!
The next long holiday will be the summer👍🏻
One thing that's good about being back at work is the fact I eat better - healthy lunches and less coffee😂
I really need to sort out a new signature!

In theory I do too Pixie but I do tend to snack lots at work, hence me doing some meal planning now for the week ahead :)

Bank holiday is nearly over but it's been a good one - I did most of the normal housework on Friday after work, then Saturday ds and I went to London to see Peter Kay. It was good, not wow but good. It was a nice day out though but always ends up costing more than expected (car parking, travelcards, food). Yesterday I met a couple of friends for a pub lunch then spent the afternoon cleaning the conservatory windows. Today has been a trip to return a couple of items to M&S, a bit of food shopping and a trip to B&M. I planned to get some plants for the garden but the perpetual rain put me off doing that. This afternoon will be a trip to see Mum then pottering indoors.

Can't believe you were at Peter Kay too! Fully agree with your verdict though, I found him a little meh to be honest apart from the last bit which was superb.

I wasn't wowed by the last bit - the whole night was entertaining but not funny, it felt like scrolling through instagram reels of "childhood reminders" :)

So half-term is here, one week to relax from work before the final countdown to summer holidays. I have a fairly full week ahead - lots of catch-ups with friends booked in, a dentist appointment and an eyebrow appointment. Yesterday I did a whole reset of the house - 3 loads of washing, my bed stripped, washed, ironed and remade. Whole house tidied, cleaned and hoovered.

Today I need to pick up a Sainsburys order - the last 4 times I've gone in for a couple of bits I have been given till spit coupons that are £12 off a £60 shop. The best way to do this is click and collect as that only eats 50p of the £12, so I have used the third one and need to collect it today, I've pretty much just stocked up on cat food and cat litter for the month ahead :)

Ds has just gone off to work so am enjoying a coffee before I get going. I need to tackle ds room today, mop the kitchen and conservatory floors and potter some more in the garden if the rain holds off. Oh, and watch the playoff final this afternoon.

This morning I did some online holiday shopping, I've order quite a few clothes (many will go back, some I ordered in different sizes/lengths etc), it made me panic a bit when I checked out, so I've just been on Prolific and done £6.00 of surveys, going to try to re-address the balance a bit there by the time the order comes and I know the final amount £££ of what I'm keeping :)

So this morning I decided to pop to the shops, the plan was:

    * return an item in M&S
    * buy a couple of other bits in there and treat myself to their summer beauty box
replace the hedge trimmer (ds borrowed it for work and broke it, he's paying) :)
    * buy some bits in Superdrug with a gift card

Didn't go quite to plan ... I returned the item in M&S but the rest of the plan didn't really work. M&S had run out of their beauty boxes so I had to order online when I got home instead. Superdrug didn't have the bits I wanted. B&Q had sold out of all their hedge trimmers under £80 (last one was about £35). So overall a bit of a wasted trip.

I came home and spent a couple of hours laying in the garden instead.

Another chilled day here - my M&S order arrived, I'm absolutely loving the full-sized shower gel, really lemony! I met a friend for a beach walk today - 10 miles and we had almost every type of weather imaginable along the way. Home, and a hot shower, and I feel great. Patio doors are wide open, house is tidy, best mate is coming over this evening for a girlie catch-up :)

I had a lovely email today from Octopus energy - I have been paying £160 a month for my gas and electric - they did email me a few months back saying I could reduce it to £140 but I left it as it was to allow it to build up a bit. Today they have emailed to say they are reducing my direct debit to £110 a month :) This time I will let them and I will set up a standing order for the 'spare' £50 to go into a new pot towards my next holiday :)

Day 1 of the summer holidays and apologies, hadn't realised I'd been awol quite so long! It's been a relentless term but we finally made it to the end. Today is one of those lovely day where I have 6 weeks stretching ahead of me. My plans for today are to get the house back under some sort of control - the housework has been left for several days and the washing basket is overflowing. Other than that I want to have a sneak at the banking - again it has got a bit crazy recently - the car insurance runs out today so I have just renewed that (£225), the cat had to go to the vet last week (£110), and various other unexpected bits happened. So today is a bit of a reset day - I need to pop to a friends to return her jumper she left at work, but other than that I don't need to go anywhere today, it will be a mooching and pottering kinda day.
