Sainsburys shop has been done, it was worse than Christmas in there today. Anyway, I braved it, £65 spent which included a whole side of salmon which will be portioned up and frozen and Easter eggs for ds and Mum. We're having roast lamb on Sunday, I already have the lamb in the freezer so bought the veg to go with it.

I've also paid for the holiday in full this morning, I have £500 spending money in a pot so now it's just travel insurance, suitcases and cat sitting to sort. I am hoping Mum and a friend will sort the cat as I'd rather she stayed in our home than went in a cattery, obviously I will pay them.

A productive morning so far here - I have ordered an over the door storage unit from Amazon - I have a wardrobe/cupboard in my room and this should be ideal, it will mean I can put the medicine box, various lotions and potions etc and other bits and bobs in there, freeing up valuable drawer space in my room. I qualified for a free prime trial so it is coming today :)

I have also been to Sainsburys and bought the bits to make homemade brownies, Mum and my Aunt are coming for lunch tomorrow so we'll be having roast leg of lamb, then brownies with vanilla ice cream and raspberries.

Next I went to B&Q and got the lawnmower, they have 15% this weekend so was cheaper than online. The lawnmower and storage thing will come from my household fund, I pay £75 a month into this but now it will go back up to £100 a month as I made the final payment to DFS for the sofa last month :)

Home again now and the first load of washing is on, todays plan is to start some bits from my list, I haven't put it on here this time as I've discovered the joys of OneNote ... how has this passed me by til now?! Anyway, todays tasks include some, or all, of the following:

    Mow the lawn
    Clean stair bannisters
    Hoover
    Mop floors
    Clean bathroom
    Make brownies
Potter in the garden tidying bits up

Hmm, so I've assembled the lawnmower but can't undo the blade to put the spacers in to adjust the height, which means I can't cut the grass yet. I will need ds to try and undo it tomorrow. These are the times I get annoyed being single, doesn't matter how much I think I can cope by myself, ultimately I'm not as strong as a bloke :(

Almost kick off time, so a couple of hours watching Soccer Saturday for me now.

I’m the same I can only do so much myself it’s really frustrating. Although I’m not single, Mr SA has a brain injury and all the jobs I relied on him for he can no longer do. Unfortunately I’m not very good at manual work, I was born to work in an office 😆

Happy Easter everyone :) I had a rubbish nights sleep, I seem to have got a cold from somewhere, typical at the start of the holidays. Anyway, dosed up on paracetamol and cracking on with it. Roast lamb is in the oven, brownies are made and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has just started, all is good :)

Lunch was lovely, followed by a rather disappointing football game but made better with the addition of an Easter egg ;)

End of month banking has been done, I seem to have £22 leftover so as long as nothing unexpected comes up tonight that will be dispatched to the savings pot later. I've also cashed out £23 from Prolific which is also on its way to the savings pot.

I've definitely got a bit of a cold going on, so a nice bath and an early night planned for me.

Morning, last night I seemed to have developed a cold, this morning I've woken up and feel yuck, feel sick, can't taste, just generally a bit rubbish, so am having a duvet day. I didn't have anything planned anyway, so am taking it easy, in pj's, with the laptop, the telly and a big jug of water.

£8 won so far on some free spins though :)

Bank holidays are done so my money has moved between the various pots / accounts, all set up for the new month.
Last night I couldn't sleep and started scrolling online. A guy I knew at school popped up on 'people you might know' on facebook. He was someone I desperately fancied all through secondary school. We were pretty good mates but he was far too cool to be interested in me so I never really told anyone. I remember when facebook was fairly new looking for old school friends and I saw that he now lived abroad and clearly didn't use his account. Anyway, last night he popped up so I had a look on his account and saw that he has returned home as he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 18 months ago so has come home to spend what's left with his family. He put on his post that he doesn't check facebook or messenger but if anyone wants to get in touch they can message his sister and she will pass it on.

Life is so damn cruel isn't it :( I messaged her and she replied this morning saying he can barely talk now but does use Whatsapp so she will pass on my number, I hope he gets in touch but totally understand if not. It has made me sad, he's lovely.
