My cold seems to have almost gone today, I needed to get out for a bit as I've been indoors far days, so decided to hit the shops. I've been wanting some indigo jeans for a while, M&S have a few styles so rather than buy them all online I thought I'd do the old fashioned thing of going and trying them on. Anyway, I didn't like any of them so saved myself the hassle of buying and returning them. I did treat myself to one of their apothecary hand creams (£4.50) and another of their perfumes, I went for the mandarin one this time (£10) I love them
I did pop into Superdrug as I had a voucher that has been knocking around quite a while, so bought a few bits in there that I use regularly and also got a few toiletries bits to start putting away for our holiday.
Then I popped into the huge B&M nearby, I try not to go too often as it is too easy to spend money without realising it, but I managed to come out of there only £9 lighter - some cat treats and a wrench (can't undo the lawnmower blade without it).
Finally popped into Tesco on the way back for some food bits, spent £45 in there but that included quite a bit of non food stuff - 24 x toilet rolls which will keep us going for ages, fabric conditioner and 2 foam woggles which are designed for swimming but will fit perfectly under my sofas and hopefully will stop the robot hoover from disappearing under thereMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

My friend passed away yesterday. His sister had sent me his number, I'd asked her to give him a huge from me, she said he loved that. I messaged him but he didn't go online again so didn't read it. His sister messaged me last night to say he had slept pretty much since Tuesday and passed in the afternoon yesterday. Life is so short isn't it
I didn't get much sleep last night so this morning popped into town and had a cooked breakfast in a cafe to fill me up a bitI re-joined the library, haven't been since before covid and they delete you after a couple of years due to gdpr. Then I got a few bits in M&S food hall on the way back to the car (£9). Lay day ahead which I expect will include a warm bath and a nap as I'm knackered, weather is yet more rain so no rush to get outdoors again.

Thanks all, I'm tired tonight due to a lack of sleep so I've had a bath already, got my pj's on and am having a nice early night. Tomorrow I'm driving ds and his mate to Luton for the football, the coach was full and there is a train strike, so they are both paying me what they would have paid for the coach and I'll take them instead.
Not a huge amount achieved this afternoon, pottered about, hoovered through and mopped the floors, taken the rubbish out and not much elseMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

And another weekend rolls around ... I've had a lovely couple of weeks off work, back in on Monday. Yesterday as it was sunny I did a long beach walk with a friend from work and we had a lovely lunch out, The rest of the week has been spent pottering, catching up with friends and watching lots of Youtube videos about my holiday
Today will be spent footie watching, some housework, sorting out a few paperwork bits.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

It's not until August, lovely to have something to look forward to though
So far today I have stripped the beds, done two loads of washing, remade the beds, done the ironing and filled a bin liner with rubbish from the garage.
It was grey here, but warm, but the sun is coming out now so may get an hour or so in the garden before the 3 o'clock kick-offs. Cheeky bets done on the National too, it's the only horse race I bet on, it's a happy memory of my GrandadMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
