What a brilliant list!
Tomorrow I will attempt to write mine - I have many of the same jobs as you that need doing. I've had a nice quite week so far but also got a few boring jobs done👍🏻👍🏻I really need to sort out a new signature!1 -
Cruise on your own sounds fun Benben, 2 weeks of not having to think about anyone but yourself and the days off ship visiting only the places you want to visit, Sounds like heaven! I'm excited for you and a tinsy bit jealous

Thanks all, at first I was pretty scared but the closer it gets I'm getting more and more excited about it. I've booked a couple of hours in the spa, various shows, early morning sunrises sat on the deck planned, can't wait!
Today I've been and got ds some bits for his birthday, just need to wrap them later. It is (yet another) wet grey day here, so am planning on getting a few bits done off the list. I don't think I need to go anywhere else today, so the music is blaring and I will get going on ticking off a few bits. I have stripped my bed today and washed it all, it's having to dry in the conservatory though.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

Morning, today is ds' 21st birthday so a quick early morning dash to the supermarket to get some Krispy Kreme doughnuts (he didn't want proper cake), and then we went out for lunch with Mum. We had a lovely lunch by the river, was really really nice. He'll be off out with his mates later on, I've come home and cut the grass and now will potter and do bits and pieces, hopefully ticking a couple of bits off the list.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

A very productive day today but not many bits done from the list
Ds has gone to see his Dad for the day (first time in over two years), so I have decided I could wait no longer for my cups and plates to reappear from his room, so gloves on and in I went. 3 bin bags of rubbish and 5 loads of washing later, his room is looking much better! I took the rubbish to the tip so that's the first trip there completed. I've also cleaned out the fridge, checking the dates on various condiments that have sat there for far too long.
Tome for a shower now then I will watch some of the Olympics. Later on I might try and get another one or two bits crossed off. I'm not reposting each time I update the list, I'm just going back to the original list and crossing bits off there.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

So I'm trying to (a) not go out and spend money and (b) get as much stuff done off the list before I go on holiday as I can. Today I have been super productive, so far I have cleaned the front door, sorted the garage (all the rubbish is out, everything is tidily away although could do with some more going to the tip at some point), cleaned the lounge windows inside and out, taken down the blinds and washed them and re-assembled (a very faffy job!), pulled the sofa out and cleaned behind it (modular and heavy), removed 8/14 sofa cushions and washed them. I haven't machine-washed them before (had sofa for 4 years now), and it was an effort to get the covers off the cushions, so I'm really not looking forward to the battle to get them back in ...
I've just stopped for some lunch and a rest, I think a nap might be needed this afternoon

So the cushions were much easier to get back in their covers than they were to get out of them. I still need to do the 5 seat cushions but that can wait until tomorrow. Sofa has been all put back together, hoovered through and the lounge is looking better, and psychologically I know it is cleaner. I have a real worry of my house smelling. No idea why, no reason to think it ever does / has, but I know you are nose blind to your own home, so any opportunity I can I have all the windows open and knowing the sofa . blinds have been properly cleaned makes me feel a lot happier. I do regularly clean the carpet, they will probably be done when I get home from holiday, ready for when I go back to school.
Time now for a shower as I feel filthy today, then some chilling time and maybe I'll do a couple of the smaller/easier tasks from the list. In fact, I think today was probably spent doing the hardest tasks, so I'm pleased to have them out the way. I do want to get stuff moved from the shed into the garage, (there isn't much in there), then ds can dismantle the shed for me while I'm on holiday.Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000
