I've returned my friends jumper and popped into town, picked up a couple of library books and reserved two others for my holiday. You may remember ds and I are going on a 2 week med cruise in August ... except ds had a bit of a meltdown a few weeks ago and it came out that he's changed his mind about going but didn't want to upset me by telling me. To cut a long story short I had two choices - either offer his place to a friend to come with me or go on my own. I've opted for the latter. Originally I thought about asking various friends but they pretty much all either already had holiday plans, couldn't get time off work or, being blunt, I couldn't cope with being with them 24/7 for two weeks :)
So I've decided to go alone. I am saving up for a round the world cruise when I retire (17 years yet), so this is a bit of a trial run to see how I cope on my own. At first I was apprehensive but now I'm quite looking forward to it - 2 weeks of relaxation, chilling, eating, enjoying the sun and no stress. I have already joined a facebook group for other single travellers on the cruise, dinner has been booked each night at different restaurants and I have opted for shared tables, so I get to meet other people and not eat alone. It feels quite an adventure now :)

I could happily spend 2 weeks on a cruise on my own😉 Sounds bliss!
Will we be seeing one of your famous summer holiday lists? I need to compile my own - I've been off since Friday and haven't completed a huge amount yet.
I really need to sort out a new signature!
