It's great isn't it Dawnybabes, they are great compared with other survey sites that reject you all the time. So today is new dishwasher day, I got a text at 10pm last night to say it will be delivered between 7-11 this morning, and when I tracked it this morning it says between 7.20 - 8.20m so had to get up early. Kitchen has been swished over quickly, coffee is being drunk and hopefully it will be here nice and early and I can get on with the rest of the day then.

Ds has a day off today so fingers crossed I'll have a working boiler again later :) I imagine it won't be until this afternoon as he foes like a lie-in :(

Good news about the boiler and the dishwasher. I love it when a delivery happens first thing so you can get on with your day.

Morning, so today is my nails appointment (money already in the budget for it). Other than that I was planning on a walk but currently my garden resembles a lake and I'm half expecting Noah to float by down the road :(

So it's looking like it might be another indoor day.

Nails done, I went for a dark chocolate brown colour today. Then I went to Home Bargains, spent £28 on dishwasher tablets, fabric conditioner, Christmas headboppers for work, some sweets, shepherds pie mix, cotton wool balls and a new doormat as mine has seen much better days. Then on to Pets at Home (£8.50) where I got the dog an advent calendar and his Christmas present, then finally Lidl where I spent £5 on milk, bread and some fruit.

Home again, the rain has stopped but it is a miserable day. I think I will spend it pottering, making sure everywhere is winter ready - I'm sure there must be a thread on here somewhere about getting the home ready for winter - i have already done the radiators, last winter I bought a curtain for the front door so that is already sorted, I need to get the hang of setting the heating (new boiler a couple of years ago and haven't quite mastered the timer thing yet). I also need to dig out the de-icer etc for the car and make sure that's all ready too.

  • There certainly used to be a getting ready for winter thread - probably on Old Style?
