Hmmph ... just gone to have a nice relaxing bath and there's no hot water. Seems bleeding radiators and combi boilers can be a problem ... will need ds to sort the pressure on the boiler when he gets home tonight. The boiler is in the loft and I hate ladders so will have to wait :(
I remember I had a go at bleeding a radiator a few years ago and then the combo boiler didn't work🤔 I googled and had to fiddle with it and get the pressure back up I think. Glad you have ds to sort it!
I really need to sort out a new signature!
  • Fortunately I leave all the radiator stuff to the British Gas people and their annual service. British Gas Homecare may be expensive but it has helped us through several problems!
Occasionally I have to add water to the system when the pressure falls. Again the BG Engineer gave me training on how to do this!

It’s really easy to do the boiler pressure with a combi boiler, just Google or You Tube it. If I can do it anyone can 😆

Ds has done it before, and I know it's dead simple, but the boiler is in the loft and I hate ladders. The loft hatch is near the stairs and my vertigo is shocking, there's no chance I could go up there :(

Fortunately mine is in the kitchen. I would be the same as you if it was in the loft.

Though my boiler is in the loft I can adjust the pressure from the cupboard in the hall.

Morning, ds came home late and had a go at doing the boiler but it didn't work, so he will need to try again when he gets home tonight :(
I've been out and done my two mystery shops this morning, both submitted and £20 to add to the holiday fund. Not sure what else the day holds in store for me, that was all I needed to do today. I will continue to work through the washing mountain :)
