    Morning all.

Weigh in tonight and not feeling hopeful really but we’ll see. Due to other things going on an DH coming home late, we’ve not been able to go out walking of an evening very much.

My new fridge freezer came yesterday and the daughter went to fetch the frozen food back from my Mom’s. Am very happy with it so far.

DH’s health is not good at the moment. He has been suffering from gastritis and it’s been fine for a while but recently has got worse. He’s planning taking some time out from work next week. I am wondering if some of it is stress related.

Speak to you all later and have a good day. xx

    Good morning all,

Glad the move back went smoothly @bubbs x Agree that the coated chicken looks sooooo gooooood.

What about those little pots of prepped fruit @beanielou - can get sliced apple, grapes, melon. Only the cellophane lid to peel back. I know they are expensive but at least they are fresh and hopefully only for a short period until your hand heals.

Well done on the losses @SingleSue and son. Men definitely lose faster (which is unfair but true). You are both doing amazingly well. I hope you have a voice today - can't be easy xx

Good luck for WI tonight @Abbafan1972. Hope DH can take some time off to feel better - sounds awful x

Well the 'do' at HoP was interesting and depressing all in one. Was about gambling addiction and the related deaths. Was patted down by security as obs looked dodgy! I had a mini tour of the Great Hall (QEII lying in state room), the Lobby (where BBC usually interview MPs) and the related corridors with statues. We had 4 MPs give speeches about what they plan to do about the gambling industry. All power to them, it's rife and too many people being lost to this addiction. Bought DH a box of chocs in the giftshop!

The Greek chicken bake was nice - was 2 syns due to the feta and olives. Lots of butter beans which aren't my favourite - would have again though.

Today I am WFH and food will be:
    B - poached egg, grilled bacon, 1 x WM toast, blueberries, satsumas - P, 1/2 HEB, S
    L - JP, baked beans, cheese, pickles - 1, free, HEA, S
D - tin can Massaman curry with rice - S, free
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - 1

    Have a good day all

Morning all.  Sorry for being a bit MIA recently, just lots of things going on and we're rotating our office days now so I feel all out of sorts as I was in the office Tuesday instead of the usual Thursday, DH has gone to Birmingham for work for a couple of days and I have to move back in with my parents for at least a week as my dad is possibly (probably) going to have to emergency surgery this week / next week so a lot of things to try and sort.

Have had some scrambled egg on toast for breakfast, lunch is going to have be a fridge raid to see what needs using up and dinner tonight will be a bit of the same.

Hope you're all ok, will be here when I can.

Morning all, 2 machine loads of washing out on the line to hopefully dry today - one load being the quilted sheet from the water bed which usually takes at least a day on the line and then another on the airer but we've got a few days before the bed will be ready to use again as DH has decided while the bed is empty we might as well pull it out and paint the wall behind it!  Definitely needs doing as not been done for years!  So looking like it could be a week before we're actually back in our own bed.  Having said that the spare bed was very comfortable and we both slept well.

Great losses @SingleSue and son.  As @Coxy11 said men do lose easier and more than women for some reason so we just have to grin and bear it!

Glad the move back home went well @bubbs.  Bet you'll be having ice cream every day again now!!!  Enjoy!

Sorry to hear your dad will probably need emergency surgery this week @ruby_eskimo.  Hope it isn't anything too serious and he's home again quickly after it.

Got a good TGTG bag from Morrisons last night - loads of different fruit - oranges, plums, peaches etc, plus 3 different breads which DH will be eating mostly, although as there was a French stick he's requested French bread pizza for lunch so I'll just have a 50g piece for 6.5 syns.   There was also cauliflowers so there will be cauliflower cheese in the plan in the next couple of days!

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
    L - French bread pizza - HEA2; S; 6.5
D - spag bol but using edamame and mung bean fettuccini - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - 50g French stick 6.5

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Well done @SingleSue and son

    Today's plan
B baked oats, blueberries 1syn and plums (fresh)
L egg fried rice with vegetables and gammon LO from the other day.
D: Chicken and Vegetable curry, 1 syn for the garlic and ginger paste.

Also had a pink and white, and a skinny crunch bar so 7.5 syns.

I had the miseries a little today as I realised that I really can't justify two weeks in The Canaries this summer, I'm sure my body needs it. Need some money wizardry!

I did however have my annual pill check today, first since I had my SW referral, they were very pleased with my weight loss - alkoat 30kg, I'm also being referred for some blood tests and other checks as parts of me just don't work as they should. Ailments used to be blamed on my weight now its my age - not sure which I prefer 🤔

Sex and the city certainly didn't show all aspects of being 40!

It's a sad fact of life that men lose faster than women @SingleSue. But don't be disheartened, you're losing steadily. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Good luck with tonight's WI @Abbafan1972.🤞🏼

That Greek bake sounds interesting @Coxy11. I know it had some syns but I do get fed up with the same old recipes sometimes. It's a pity that feta isn't a HEA.

I do hope all goes smoothly for your dad @ruby_eskimo. It's so hard waiting and hoping that the appointments go to plan. 🤗

Shame about the holiday (or lack of) @Jellybaby. It's just so nice to have something to look forward to. Maybe something will turn up. 🤔

Good idea to use the opportunity to refresh the paintwork @joedenise. I expect that's becasue the bed is so heavy to move otherwise?

Amazingly, I've stayed on plan today. DD1 and I were out most of the day but just had a couple of coffees and then I made myself a very late lunch when I got back. I had some leaves that needed using up so made a hot salad and thoroughly enjoyed it as I was really hungry.

    Today's EE plan-
    B- HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- 2 fried eggs (P), leaves, mushrooms, tomatoes, spring onions (S)
    D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0
