Had a day out yesterday and for the first time ever, visited a Wagamama...it was a very successful and low syn visit. We also went to the cinema and both of us managed to avoid/resist getting sweet things to munch on whilst the film was playing.

We did get the wanting feeling late on and almost wobbled and got fish and chips but instead we got some decent ham and did HM ham, egg and SW sweet potato chips SW style.

I've got something to work towards now, I've ordered a pair of jeans and a top 2 sizes down from my original size (I'm still wearing my start weight clothes), I've no idea if I have already slimmed down enough for them as I haven't tried on any clothes and in a mass sort out last summer, oiked out any non current sized clothes but it would be nice to have them arrive and for them to fit straight away or even (and now I am really into the realms of fantasy), for them to be loose.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
  • Well done @Abbafan1972

@SingleSue dropping the dress sizes is a great feeling, I recently bought some new tops in next, planned to buy 16 and changed my mind and went for the 14 expecting them to be tight, such a joy to put them on and be verging on too big.

Forgot to post my meal plan yesterday

B: mixed fresh berries and ff yoghurt
L: tuna and sweetcorn salad 1 syn for salad cream, had some beetroot too but was running low on veg/salad.
D: left overs of sweet potato and chickpea curry, spinach isn't great for LO. Was packet rice so 1 syn for that.
    Snacks 2 x hifi, 1 hot chocolate 4

I did manage to avoid the temptation of a slice of coffee cake at my Mum's yesterday. But did think if they could perhaps bring out a coffee cake hifi bar then that would be fab.

I should have done park run today, but really needed to let my body sleep and not be disturbed by the alarm, only to be woken by my Son asking if we were doing PR at 8:20 - was a bit too much of a rush, but plan on a brisk 3 mile walk later.

Big shop later, so will be purchasing plenty of speed and having veg heavy meals for the coming week.

    Hi all,

I had a 0.5lb gain at group - bit miffed but suspect it's to do with lack of activity on the days I WFH. I really must get out of the house even for a 20 minute walk around the block. Relief consultant today as ours was on a hen do. I did pay by myself as other ST member didn't turn up. 54 through the door and had a massive queue at one point as consultant likes us to print a receipt for card payments and write names on the back. Luckily her DH turned up to help pack away so I could leave straight after group.

I'm aiming for at least 1lb this week - let's see if I can do it!

Definitely think about using the syn bank this week @Hundredsandthousands - and fingers crossed that blip doesn't cause much damage xx

I think I'm right in saying a 1st loss equates to roughly one dress size so enjoy the new sized clothes @SingleSue. Well done for resisting cinema snacks too - we never buy them as too tight (money wise!!).

    Food today:
B - banana (at group), skinny crunch bar - free, 3
    L - beans on 2 x WM toast, cheese, 2 x satsumas - free, HEB, HEA, S
D - SW Pork Szechuan with noodles - free
    HEA - milk
    Syns - 3

    Have a good day all

That was a mammoth task doing the paying in @Coxy11. We never have receipts at my group, never even thought about it. 🤔. Shame about the little gain. I think it's a good idea to get out at lunch time and if it helps the weightloss then it's a bonus. 👍

I agree with @joedenise, just draw a line under the chocolate incident and move on @Hundredsandthousands. It's not too difficult to plan a low/syn free day to try to claw back.

Enjoy your walk @Jellybaby. Shame you didn't get your lie in.

I do hope you fit into the new clothes @SingleSue, definitely a NSV when you do.

Today is a bit of a mess as our match is rearranged for 5.30pm. ☹️ We won't be home until at least 8 o'clock so a quick meal is needed. I've brought forward the chilli from the freezer as can get that sorted in minutes.

I've been having the Aldi 2 slice wholemeal for the last week or so but usually just one slice needed but decided to use both today. I haven't told DH as I'm sure he'd get confused and give me 2 of any brand. 🤣

    Today's EE plan -
B- 0.5 HEB toast, baked beans (F), egg, bacon (P)
    L- lentil soup (P, S ) sardines on 0 5 HEB toast (P), pickles (S)
    D- veggie chilli with brown rice (P, F, S ), cottage cheese (P)
Syns - half Crunchie 3, weekend wine 😊

Afternoon all, finally caught up! Hope all poorly peeps are feeling better 🫶🏼
Bubbs glad your Mum is negative & feeling better. My hubby had a false positive & was negative the next day, had to cancel palliative care appointment & still had to isolate for 10 days at dialysis 😤.
My sister is out of hospital, she has district nurse in every day to refill her syringe driver. She is feeling so much better being home & pain free. On Monday she has a procedure to cut the pain nerve from stomach to brain (can’t remember the proper name). We will probably see her at the hospital as hubby is having an ‘emergency’ scan on his fistula as it is failing again 🥺. I am in a lot of pain with my back but cannot get a flecking appointment with our surgery 😤. I need to get my pain under control before I can consider going on the residential trip with my class , they need me for the numbers.
So all in all I am not in a good head space, to top it all I have STS for the last few weeks but gained 1lb today 😢. I just can’t lose any weight, damn menopause 🤬
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

You’ve got a lot on @TakeItEazy so be kind to yourself but I’m with you on the damn menopause!

You’ll have that wee half pound off and more next week @Coxy11 .

2.5 lb gain this morning. Think some of that was a rollover from last week’s STS but it’s on and it will be off soon. Think it’s just the fright I needed to be honest. I know my plan is sabotaged every week (by my mother!) so need to deal with this too. I’ve already tried the nice approach so time to get tough 🙈🙈🤣

Bought loads of pickles in Aldi after class and went to a local greengrocer for fruit and veg. A bit more expensive but everything looks delicious and I got cucumber, tomatoes and peppers no problem at all.

Had banana and coffee at group, ham salad roll at mum’s (no cake 😇) and spag bol with parmesan for dinner. Going for an alcohol free weekend too.

Sorry to hear that life is so difficult for you at the moment @TakeItEazy. Be kind to yourself and keep pressing for that appointment for yourself. 🤗

Glad to hear you're using the gain to spur you on @Jellybaby. Respect for planning an alcohol free weekend! 👍 I always find that cutting back helps as less reining in needed for the rest of the week. 😁

I've had a bad couple of days food-wise, just fallen off the healthy eating wagon in spectacular fashion. However line drawn and I'm behaving myself today. No excuse either just stupid hormones playing havoc with everything. There's been food from the chippy (which I didn't even enjoy - hate that what a waste!), choccy cake which I did enjoy and was very much medicinal (in my head 🤣) and a few other bits and bobs.

Today has been much better though. Tomorrow might be a worry - my parents are visiting and they always bring goodies with them. I haven't told them I am back on SW but might ring them tonight and ask them not to bring cakey stuff as I don't want to fall back in to that snacking hole when I have just climbed back out.

Hugs to others who are struggling for whatever reason at the moment 💖

    Evening all

Coxy we are twins!! More ways than one, i had 1/2 gain as well, so it can't be the pepsi! Also had a nightmare with pay, i had 84 through the door 😱😱the card machine kept going down, i was having to shout anyone on a countdown or paying cash 😂 to keep the queue moving while the consultants 13 year old son sorted it out, we were laughing he was a whizz and we had no clue 🤣 then i had people with countdown vouchers and never done them before, Joshhhhhhhhhhhh he was there, do this , do that and hey presto! He is such a lovely kid.

TIE , i hope you get sorted out, look after yourself too x

Cherry we have to live, just keep drawing the line x

    Good news 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Dad was up and dressed, sitting in the chair and moaning, so he's a lot better 🤣🤣 yesterday when Mum got there he was walking up the ward, do you know what has changed? His pain medication, the doctor and physio were there and said something to him in the week he said i can't the pain is terrible, (my dad has NEVER complained about pain, whenever we have asked he said no not in pain and when he was at home if he was it would have to be bad and he would ask for his medicine , which is morphine, but this was rare) they said on a score 1 to 10 what is it he said definitely 10.  He was only getting 1 paracetamol because of his weight, what the effin good is that?!!
So they started giving him 3ml morphine on a regular basis, he is a changed man!
Today he ate, banana, jelly with fruit in, choc buttons and grapes Mum took, tea , soup, hot dinner and yoghurt 👏👏👏 so so happy.
They are still trying to get him rehab for 4-6 weeks, Mum said hopefully this week, i said we keep saying that, she said yes i know but kkeep hoping.
