  • Hi all,

After a really good week I've slipped slightly, not too bad as still within syn range - just! But I should have made a different choice

Woke up to find Son at uni no longer had a working phone - long story. So I drove up and get him a new phone, family contract  and they can only deliver to our home, so would have been a real palaver to do it any other way.  Fortunately he's only 1hr 20 away and he did buy me flowers - first time I believe??

B: fresh berries and ff natural yoghurt.
L: not lunch but stupidness rhubarb and custard sweets 10 syns.
D: Roast chicken, carrots,  peas, sprouts, swede, cauliflower and broccoli - syn free gravy, this was amazing and not going back to bisto loads cheaper too. So completely syn free roast

Tablespoon of rhubarb crumble - no idea on syns but not many. After my so called lunch the kitchen is now closed!

Your new furry friend sounds cute @beanielou - photos please 😊

I chose the quinoa and sweet potato salad for lunch. It had pomegranate seeds and a dollop of coconut raita on top - good portion size and delicious. I had a Pepsi max. We then did a little shopping and had a hot drink in a little independent cafe. I had black tea and a banana muffin - with a little buttercream on the top. I dislike buttercream so scraped a fair bit off! Had a white Americano in a pub just before dropping DD home and driving back. Parking was £31.50!! 😳

Didn’t have my hifi bar and don’t fancy it. Might have some fruit in a bit.

    Have a good evening all

Yes, that's right @bubbs, I used a flat patty tin so 12 smallish Yorkshires but 3 each was enough. 🤣

Not huge blips @annabanana82 and @Coxy11. Hopefully you'll claw it back.

Yes, the parking charges in Brighton are horrendous. I've stayed there for many a conference for 4 nights so cost an arm and a leg ! That was in the multi storey under the shopping centre. ☹️

    That's horrendous coxy!!

Mum rang to see if I can swap days next weekend asy sister has an appointment Sunday.
Well today she had hospital appointment, parked where they always do, put blue badge up. Mum went to see dad , she went her appointment, was just walking back up and parking attendant there taking a picture of her car 😱 she says aye mate what you doing 🤣 I have a  Blue badge on, he says you cannot park there (in all fairness it is not a disabled bay, there is only 2) but we and others have always parked there , so she came back just in time and didn't get a ticket, moved the car.
So I said to mum can you walk that far ?  She said no not really 😰 so we will have to suss it out. So been bloody lucky for last 12 weeks, 8 people that were parked there had tickets!!

Morning all.  Sorry to hear about everything going on @TakeItEazy fingers crossed you can get an appointment soon.

Good to hear your dad is doing better @bubbs, and fingers crossed he can get a placement soon!

Oh Mustard is gorgeous @beanielou 😍

I've gained a pound this week which isn't surprising really as I've just been out of routine so much.  Took dad to A&E on Saturday, nurses that triaged him were a bit confused as to why he was there but the A&E consultant was literally prepping him for surgery as soon as he saw him.  Bloods were even worse but the specialist said it wasn't bad enough to warrant emergency surgery and he'll see him in clinic in the next week to discuss a date etc.  It was busy in there but he was discharged about 3.5 hours after we arrived so weren't waiting around for too long.  Did have to explain to two nurses how their computer system worked because they couldn't find my dad on their system (sometimes it pays to work around NHS IT), bumped into my Mother in Law as she was working on reception and then as we left DH's grandmother was brought in as she'd had a fall so it was like a mini family reunion in A&E!  So now we wait to see when I have to take him back to see the specialist again.

Back to it today with porridge and a banana for breakfast, lunch is leftover stir fry from last night and dinner is chicken breast stuffed with herby quark and mixed green veg.  Need to do a workout after work as I had a lie in this morning and I might, might, go for a run this evening too, possibly, we'll see.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning all, going to be another busy day with more clearing of DH's work room!  We have a scrap man coming to collect some of the metal stuff which he no longer needs - could have got rid of it years ago really but he kept saying I might need to use it!  He's finally decided after 7 years of retirement and not using it that's he's unlikely to now!  Only used one of the things a few times in the 22 years we've been here!  Will be glad to see the back of it.  Once it's gone and his room is sorted a lot of bits can go from my craft room into his room where it ought to be - including his golf clubs!!!

Need to pop out to get some bread shortly as hadn't realised there wasn't any in the freezer and now only have 2 crusts left!  Other than that it's just going to be more tidying!

    Today's plan:

B - Weetabix minis with choc chips - HEB; part HEA
    L - butterbean and chorizo stew - P; S; 3.5
    D - butter chicken, rice - P; S; F; 3.5

    HEA - milk
HEB - Weetabix minis (won't bother with these again - I only had them in the cupboard because I won them in a group raffle! - still not another box to have but think it may well end up in the SOTW basket!)

    Syns - chorizo 3.5; butter 3.5

    Have a good day everyone.
