    Morning all

Disaster was averted with parents visit yesterday, no cakes were brought and I ended up with a chicken salad for my lunch which was lovely. I tried Sainsbury reduced fat burgers yesterday for tea 4 syns each, wasn't impressed and only ate half - still saves on syns at least. OH had 3 of them and declared them alright although he did have a ton of ketchup on his!

I'm heading out for a walk this afternoon as I have a parcel to post so that'll get me some much needed body magic in, its been a while since I had the energy to do many steps.

Love your new addition beanie, I can't resist a gorgeous ginger furry!

    Today's food plan:

B- porridge with honey, nectarine and grapes, cuppas with milk
L- jacket potato with tuna mayo (2?) and salad
D- chicken gratin from aldi (4) with mash and plenty of veg

Have a great day all x

@cherry_22 - Sainsbury do a much lower syn low fat burger than 4 syns!  It's called Taste the Difference Reduced Fat Skinny burger and it's only 1 syn.  It's the same size as the 4 syn one but comes in packs of 2 rather than 4.  No idea what they're like but the low fat sausages are rated as good on here although I've not had them as my local butcher does virtually fat free burgers and very low fat sausages - 0.5 and 1 syn respectively!

Been out and bought a bit of shopping - much needed bread (got 3 and put 2 in the freezer); some salad stuff and some more grapes.  Still need a few bits but I'll get those tomorrow from Tesco as need to go into town for the dentist so will do it after that.

Thanks @joedenise the 4 syn ones were all that I could see in the meat section although I have a feeling that I may have had the TTD ones before and they weren't too bad. Maybe I was in a haze while food shopping last week! I do love the BGTY sausages for 1 syn they are lovely and meaty and I am usually picky with sausages. I always liked richmonds which are a terrifying 4 syns each - that SW app is so eye opening!

Hope you get your loss @beanielou it'll be interesting to see what my own scales say on Wed after my less than perfect week

Hope you get your loss @beanielou and the kitty is cute - cats know I'm a bit scared and always make sure I know they love me 😁
Was at a funeral this morning and a smallish scone and coffee was consumed.  Had to have something to be sociable so left the pies, sausage rolls, quiche slices, and cakes alone and went for the least synful (in my opinion).

    Today's food:
B - fruit salad - nectarines, pineapple, apple, satsumas, grapes
L - pitta pocket with smoked ham, salad, pickles
D - Aldi red onion and rosemary sausages, chips, beans, mushrooms and onions

Syns - will opt for 15 for scone and scraping of butter as no idea what to count.

    Have a good day all.

Good luck for tonight @beanielou. 🤞

Don't forget to syn the honey @cherry_22. I like the BGTY sausages too. Sainsburys used to make BGTY frozen burgers but they disappeared. ☹️ I know you have to use up what you have but the Lighter than Light mayonnaise (Sainsburys or IHellmanns) is great for just 0.5 syns per tbsp.

I think you'll be OK with 15 for a small scone @Jellybaby. It's hard to not eat anything when people have gone to the trouble of laying on food.

I know it's not really funny @ruby_eskimo but who'd have thought of a family gathering in A&E of all places! 😁 Hope you get some definitive news about your dad's treatment soon. I suppose a small gain was inevitable. ☹️

You probably could have bought a mirror for the price of the parking @Coxy11. I find Dunelm and the Range quite good if you're still looking.

Tidying can be therapeutic @joedenise. I always feel good when a bag goes off to the charity shop. My DH is clearing some of his books at last. It would be good if they could all be on shelves instead of piled up on the floor!

Today we're having the chicken jambalaya that was planned for Saturday. DH will be pleased as it's one of his favourites.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB porridge, berries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
L- ham (P), potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
    D- chicken jambalaya (P, S, F)
    Syns - 0

We actually too 4 carrier bags of books to the charity shop last week! Most of the books are on shelves now.  Got a few to go into the motorhome which we haven't read yet.

I've got a couple of sleeping bags to go - one is brand new but unfortunately our local charity shop won't take them but I've found one in Sittingbourne that say they will so need to take them done there at some stage but need to DH with me to take them as I can't manage two bulky bags!

DH has made great inroads with stripping the wall which needed stripping although stuck for now as need to move the wardrobes to get  into that corning and behind it - no idea how that's going to go as it 2 doubles plus a shelf unit and it's all screwed together!  That's a job for another day though!  Most of the tidying today has been picking up wet sticky wallpaper!  Two black bags full so far.  Think it's going to be a trip to the tip once it's all done, plus the old carpet.
