Morning all, a bit bleary-eyed this morning as mum wasn't great during the night but she's slept for a good few hours now and just being home will help too.
Fab @annabanana82! good loss which will motivate you for next week
@bubbs that's how I make my fishcakes, using smoked haddock and I add a spring onion. Might make some at the weekend now!
Lunch and dinner wasn't according to plan yesterday, ended up buying a sandwich at M&S outlet at the hospital so way over syns (haven't checked yet and might not!).
Today should be better -
B - toast and banana
L - tuna salad with a couple of boiled eggs and pickles
D - chilli with rice
Hope your mum is feeling better bubbs and your sister is getting support. Take care x
Have a good day all.

Morning all, was up early this morning to get to the hospital for a blood test so was absolutely starving when we got back son not long had breakfast! Couldn't even have a cup of tea before I left as it as a fasting one so all I had before we went was some water - think I had have had more water than I did as the phlebotomist said if you're having a fasting blood test you should drink a litre of water! If it's not a non fasting one then 2 litres. So if anyone else has to have fasting blood tests make sure you drink plenty of water as it makes it easier for them to get the blood out! She actually asked me to spread the word because Drs never tell patients they should drink plenty of water beforehand! So true I was originally told I shouldn't eat or drink anything when I had my first fasting one (about 20 years ago!) and because I was dehydrated I had to get it repeated a few days later and ensure I'd drunk a glass of water! What a difference these days.
Brilliant loss @annabanana82 - keep on going this week and you'll see that 5 stone loss soon!
@bubbs - is your mum still testing positive? Do hope she soon gets a negative and feels much better and can get back to see your dad. Talking of which any movement on finding him a nursing home yet?
Today's plan:
B - baked oats, FF greek style yoghurt, mixed frozen fruits - HEB; S; F
L - bacon, egg, mushrooms, beans - P; S; F
D - chickpea and vegetable curry, rice - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - oats
Syns - none planned but no doubt I'll find something!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
LOst a unexpected 4 1/2 lbs last night.
UNfortunatly then I had a fall & everything went down hill after that.
An unintentional interesting evening yesterday!! Had a fall yesterday & cut my hand badly & nicked a blood vessel. It just would not stop bleeding. Off to A & E. Many hours later it was stitched & x-rayed. Shattered today & not at my best. Bah.
Feeling a tad sorry for self now!
ASked my friend how much more weight I would loose with that amount of blood loss but sadly she said it would not make any difference.Bah.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Morning everyone!
We had a productive morning shopping.
First stop was Lidl: £1.50 veg box.
I noticed the mushrooms were a lot cheaper for the big box compared to other supermarkets.
But the LF cottage cheese was £1.09 so I will stick to tesco's @ 79p.
Also if you have the lidl app theres a £5 off coupon on there but you will have to be quick as it ends today.
Next stop was Home bargains
A huge sack of potatoes reduced to £1.50/ a bag of tender broccoli 30p/ 3 bags of pink lady apples for 50p a bag.
I also managed to buy a garden rake for 2.99
@bubbs Hope things improve for your family soon and your mum tests negative.
Congratulations to everyone who's had a loss! It's weigh day for me tommorow so feeling a little apprehensive.

Hope you're OK @beanielou - that doesn't sound good losing all that blood. Glad you've had it stitched. Brilliant loss of 4.5lb - and you'd recently said you'd lost the plot a bit but apparently not as much as you thought you had! Well done'
Popped into Home Bargains today and picked up some coconut cereal bars for DH - he's been trying to get them for weeks so ended up picking up 4 boxes! Also picked up a pack of the bacon and gammon misshapes. We had a gammon steak each today for lunch.
The rest of it was mainly bacon rashers which have been portioned up and frozen in meal sized portions (4 packs) plus a bag of bits which will be used to make a carbonara at some point. So out of a Kg pack we've ended up with enough for 6 meals for two of us. Great value at £1.39!
Good luck for WI tomorrow @Hundredsandthousands! Sure you'll be fine.
The post has finally been so we now have our new water heater for the bed - unfortunately it's too late to do anything with it today and we're both out tomorrow so it's going to be Thursday before we can empty the bed and refill it so looks like it will be hot water bottles until at least Saturday! Still it should be lovely and warm by then!

Mum still positive but she said feels lie herself now, just waiting for negative.
Sister slept last night as doc prescribed some sleeping tablets and she sounded so much better in herself when i spoke to her earlier, she said now she realises it was building up last couple of months and ignored it and this is the result 😥

Brilliant result with the weightloss @beanielou 👏👏👏 but not the fall.☹️ That's two within a few days. Any idea why particularly? 🤔
That's good news about your mum @bubbs, hope she gets a negative test very soon. Hope your mum has a better night too @Jellybaby. 👍
I think the bacon pieces are really good value @joedenise and so useful. Mine are from Asda. I've got some portioned up in lardons in the freezer, using some tonight in the sausage casserole.
You got some great bargains too @Hundredsandthousands. Who says SW is expensive!😁
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, egg, bacon (P) HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), potato (F), fried veg and pickles (Sl
D - sausage casserole with penne (F, P, S)

I've had a headache all day so been drinking plenty, but it's not shifting, maybe 90 minutes with 15 children tonight will help clear it...Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...0 -
@annabanana82 - pink and whites are 2.5 not 3.5 so your total is 6.5. Good luck with having 90 minutes with 15 children! Rather you than me, LOL!
