LO wine @maman!  What's that?  LOL!  Having more 0% G&Ts tonight - best way of keeping the syns down for me as can't stand the alcohol free or low alcohol wines - always find them far too sweet!

Thanks it was lovely but tinged with sadness, my sister with the MH problems is not well at all 😥😥 My other sister went to the hospital with her yesterday .

Does anyone want to see the baby? I won't just out it on without asking as don't want to upset anyone

  • Hi all,

It's been awhile since my last check in, I've not read the 512 posts since my last visit.

I'm really struggling still, not even lost the 6lbs I put on over Christmas yet.
I've been bad some weeks but the last 2/3 weeks been on plan and still no movement on the scales. I've been really trying the last week as I've had a week off work. My usual sedentary week has been far more active, roughly walked 40km this week, scrubbed my house top to bottom and sat far less, and mixed my meals up yet I feel no different whatsoever,  weigh in tomorrow but not confident.

It seemed so easy 6-12 months  ago but I'm only 7lbs lighter than I was in August. I don't want to leave SW and end up back wher I was, I only want to lose around 21lbs now too.

I did go to Park run last week but missed Saturday as OH wasn't up to going and I'm a wimp to go on my own - needs to stop!

I'm going to attempt to jog more this week, and see how that goes, but not sure what else I can do??

Anyway hope you are all having more success than I  :-)

    Good morning all.

I honestly don’t know where that weekend went to!

@bubbs I hope your sister feels better soon. Sorry, who is it that’s having a baby? I must have missed that post.

I bought some grape nuts at shopping on Saturday, as I like them as an alternative to oats when doing overnight oats (you are allowed 40g as a HEB), but they have risen in price quite a bit, but I’ve not bought them for ages, so decided to treat myself. I like puffed wheat/wheat puffs/(formerly sugar puffs) and agreed you do get a lot. Also, I like Honey Cheerios, as these count as a HEB as well.

Haven’t really planned out my meals for today just yet, to be honest.

Speak to you all later. xx

Morning all, up early this morning as was quite cold in bed now that the heater isn't working - water gets cold really quickly!  We've got a spare duvet between the bladder and the sheet to try and keep the chill off but not working well!  The new heater is due to be delivered tomorrow so hopefully by Wednesday night the bed will be warm enough to actually get a decent night's sleep!

Sorry to hear you're struggling @annabanana82.  It sounds as though you still go to group so what ideas has your consultant come up with, if any?  @bubbs was struggling a bit with shifting some weight and just last week she cut back on the amount of Pepsi Max she was drinking as she was drinking it both during the day and in the evenings so she cut out the day time ones and finally got a loss of 2lb!  Is there anything similar you could do?

Perhaps you're having a lot of Free foods rather than lots of Speed foods?  Could you up the amount of Speed foods you're eating and reduce the foods which are just Free like pasta, potatoes, baked beans, parsnips etc changing them for Speed foods like butternut squash or carrot chips, spiralled veg, cauliflower rice?

My consultant always says that the exercise only contributes a small amount of our weight loss it is making the right food choices that make the difference.  Good luck with making a few changes.  Perhaps it would help if you started posting again with your daily menu plans, maybe we can spot something!

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
L - vegetable soup which includes a soup mix with things like pear barley (so should be filling!) - P; S; F
    D - beef stew, mash, cabbage - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but may have a skinny crunch or a couple of skinny whip minis for 3 syns
