I suppose it's not surprising that any of us on here that had success with SW would be what they want as consultants but as, @Abbafan1972 says, it's a big financial outlay and like @bubbs, I agree there's all the stuff to store including the HiFis! 😊

I checked out the literature about fizzy, diet drinks @bubbs and it seems that the problem is that the sweetness can encourage you to want more sweet stuff. That's not an issue with you, but still worth a try cutting down. 🤔

Thanks Jelly, good luck tomorrow, set 20 alarms 🤣🤣

Do you drink a lot of pepsi?

I have been asked about consultant too, you also have to have a lot of room to keep a million hi fi bars and not eat them 🤣 all the books, scales etc
Not now Bubbs but have in the past. Drink a lot of soda and lime and like a lot of slimline tonic in g&ts but that’s all still fizz.

I don’t buy hi-fi bars. Apart from thinking they’re quite expensive, I’d have no control and eat the box in one night! It’s hard but I don’t buy a lot of my triggers ie crisps, nuts and crackers.

Yes fizz, bloody fizz 😂 but i am really going to try and not have any in the day, can't stop altogether as tried that before and had withdrawal headaches, so just going to stick with evenings

Today i have had 4 tea, 4 pints water and 3 pepsi , the only trouble is with water i am always needing the loo.

Same as me with hi fi 😏

I've never bought Hi-fis either @Jellybaby. Like you, it's partly the cost. I have bought Benefit and Alpen for DH instead of biscuits but fortunately don't have a sweet tooth so rarely fancy them. I still ban myself from crisps though except for Christmas and holidays.

Good luck for tomorrow's WI. 🤞

Interesting about the excess fruit @bubbs. Sugar is sugar after all, however natural. 🤔
  • Thank you for checking it @maman I'm really missing my oat lattes so will be taking a trip to Aldi to stock up  :)

We had another batch cooking session this afternoon, this time jackfruit and sweet potato curry & spag bolognaise.....
this meal planning is hard work!  Ive been so busy I missed eating my HEB, 1 HEA and my syns and my water :(

@bubbs Is that sweet potato chips in the photo?

    Morning everyone,
Off to group shortly. Will buy some peanut hi fi bars as want to try a no-chocolate Lent this year. Did it a few years running but haven't for a while. Will get my eyebrows threaded after group and then have a haircut booked. Later this afternoon I'm going to see Puss in Boots on my own (well, cinema will probably be full of kiddies!) as DH is away and wouldn't want to see it anyway!
    Speak later

Morning all, we're off out to a town a bit further away.  Going to park the car outside DD1s house in Sittingbourne and then get the bus to Faversham.  Apparently there's a good herb and spice shop there that I'd like to have a look at - you buy your stuff loose - I need to get some more spices to make some more curry powder as nearly out of things like coriander and fennel seeds but I've actually got a list of about 7 or 8 spices I want to top up but they're the main ones.

Good luck for WI @Coxy11 and anyone else weighing today.

    Today's plan:

B - sausages, egg & beans - P; F; 8 (guess as it was 2 chippie sausages but won't be having any more as didn't like them)
L - eating out so no idea - none of the chain type places it's all independents so will have to see what we can find!
    D - jacket potato, tuna mayo, salad - P; S; F; 2

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - sausages 8; mayo 2

    Have a good day everyone.

I don't buy the hi-fi bars either, things like that were not part of my pre SW life so no reason for them to be a part of my now SW life.

I'm not a huge chocolate fan, I like a bit occasionally but it was never really my thing, the same with crisps and/or cakes. I do like my savouries though but my biggest issue is quantity because of not being active due to the wheelchair. My calorific needs are insanely low and even what most would think of as serious diet levels of calories, would be too many for me and result in a gain.

It's why I have adapted the SW plan, I can't eat all the syns that I'm supposed to and lose weight (I tried it, it was a horrendous result), nor can I have unlimited amounts of potatoes, pasta and rice, not least because my reflux and irritable bowel really do not like it. I have all the food groups I am supposed to to keep the balance but in much smaller, more limited quantities.

It was the same at WW, I had to jump straight to the last few stubborn pounds points rather than the usual big as a heifer starting points, even though back then I didn't have the wheelchair and was very active. I reached goal weight, so it worked for me and I love looking at photos from back then but there is always a tinge of sadness as now ex hubby really didn't like the attention I then got from the opposite sex, the new found confidence I gained, the old me returning and he had to scupper it so that he could exert his control again.

I think that is possibly where my issue with the word syns, written down they look ok but when thinking and saying it, the y is lost and replaced with an i and I am right back to those dark days being ridiculed/nagged for having a treat, being called fat, lazy, a waste of space and then when slimming down, unattractive, unsexy and no one would want me as I had lost my curves.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
