I never buy anything new without scanning  so much better than when i started and you had to search for syns, i remember us all being so excited about getting the scanner 🤣🤣 I will add it is wise to check things you know the syns of randomly as they do change.

I forgot to tell you about my drama today 🙈 i certainly don't lead a dull life 🤣🤣

I was driving along (like you do) noticed this man on the path just standing there, then all of a sudden he runs right out infront of me , puts his hands up and just stares at me 😱 i literally missed him by this much <--------------------------------> my heart was in my mouth, then he just walks off 😮i was really scared though.
When i looked in my mirror as soon as it happened luckily the lady behind was at a distance and had time to stop but she looked as shocked as i was
I am guessing he was on drugs or had MH problem.
Then bit further along the rd the man was driving and combing his bloody beard 😂
I thought what am i going to encounter next 🤣🤣

  • Coxy11  That's amazing , you must be so pleased with yourself.  How long has it taken you to get to near target?

Thank you Matron_midge, It will take some getting used to. I can't believe how supportive everyone has been :)

It's been a real eye opener Cherry_22 , My Oat milk is 2 syns per 100g and to think I was making 2 oat latte drinks
a day = 16 syns :o    Another shocker is Avocados!

Tonight I've batched cooked a load of cottage pies to freeze and tomorrow I will batch cook some Jackfruit curry,
I think careful planning is the key.

Thankyou everyone for all your help, I realised if I can loose 5lb in my first week that will take me down a stone in number :)

Don't forget @Hundredsandthousands, you can have oat milk for your HEA. Amount varies per brand but 250mls or less per HEA. 😁

I took just under a year to lose 3.5 stones but that included going off plan for holidays. Good luck! 👍

  • maman  I thought I could have oat milk as a HEA but I checked the SW online HEA list and its not there?
I will take another look because I would be so happy!

Hi SingleSue,  Eds is the gift that keeps on giving :'(   My mother & daughter have it too  :(

beanielou  Balance issues are so frustrating, I also suffer with this. For me some days are worse than others, how long have you had this for? I really sympathise, its awful.

@Hundredsandthousands, I found oat milk as a HEA for Asda, Sainsburys and Waitrose own brands on the app. Maybe it depends which one you buy. 🤔

It certainly is, all three of my sons have it too, to varying degrees. My hip has been in and out that many times that it is now completely beggered and in need of replacement and I've lost a good amount of the discs in my spine too.

I've also got a neurological condition which impacts my balance, speech and movement, when they diagnosed it last year I joked I was just becoming a series of acronyms.

Morning all. Hope everyone is well.

Have not been on for a few days, so been catching up on posts.

Welcome hundredsandthousands, glad you decided to join online and to be honest, that method of membership seems to have improved, as I always thought online members got a raw deal.

Coxy11 you look fabulous in that dress!

Bubbs hope your Dad is doing ok.

Was gutted last night at group - 1.5lb gain! Quite a few members had significant gains as well last night, so I don’t know if there was an issue with scales or what!

I love going to group, but there is always one person that I feel spoils it for everyone else. This person has been going longer than I have and was at a different consultants group a while back - I used to go on the Saturday morning and she was always at the Thursday night one. I occasionally used to go to the Thursday night one. Last night she was very critical of the plan and the consultant, saying that nothing with the plan had changed for a long time and saying that she preferred the red and green days (I joined when it had just changed to extra easy). Also criticising the way everything was the same boring thing at group (image therapy is that what they call it) and that she was throwing her money away every week. Well nobody is forcing her to go and pay the money every week. Of course the consultant started to cry and disappeared for a few minutes to compose herself. Someone from the group got up and comforted her. It isn’t the consultants fault that this person has basically looked the same the whole time I have known her go to group (8+ years).

It was awful I have to say.

I don’t know what your thoughts on it are?

Speak to you all soon. x

    Morning all,

Another headache this morning - damn you TOTM! Slept better though so at least that's something.

I've lost 1st 7lbs in just under a year @Hundredsandthousands - so about 0.5lb a week. Haven't lost every week and had a few gains as we had 2 weeks in Cyprus and 2 separate charity hiking trips where I existed on packet sarnies and squashies! Would like to lose a few more pounds then call target, so aiming for target by Easter.

I think there's always a member or two that rock up to group every week and want it all to be about them @Abbafan1972. I go to a Saturday morning group and there's a lady who seems to be out most Friday nights and then doesn't see the results on the scales. I suggested that on those weeks, maybe weigh at a different group on a Friday morning so she's not disappointed. But she likes to 'see everyone' as it's probably part of her social life and I get that, but make better choices then or drive (which is what I do).

This is the reason I don't think I could be a consultant (despite much badgering from our area rep including a card through the post yesterday). We all know what to eat and drink to stay on plan and stay healthy. It seems some people just like to moan. That's really bad that it upset your consultant - what did the member do, did she apologies? I think there would be a LOT of moaning if SW were constantly changing the plan! Can't win!

Sorry about your gain and that does seem odd that several others gained too. I hope you have a good week and you'll soon see that gone x

Kudos to all those on here with health issues but staying on plan and in so doing, helping themselves to look and feel better. I take my hat off to you all x

DH is going away with his mates this weekend so I've only myself to suit tonight and tomorrow. I'm seeing a neighbour tonight - her DH walked out 3 years ago and hasn't seen his boys since. Such a nasty man. I've invited her here for drinks and nibbles rather than going out and us both spending. She doesn't drink and neither will I tonight. I will pop out later for some fizzy water and some low cal snacks.

    Food will be:
B - Weetabix choc melts, FF nat yog, blueberries - HEB, F, S
    L - JP, tuna, LTL mayo, balsamic, pickles - 1.5, P, S
    D - LO chicken biryani - F
    HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar plus 1.5 plus some low cal snacks tbd

    Have a good day all.
