Hello, at last I've managed to log in!  I kept getting a maintenance notice and wrong password sign for the last couple of days even though it was definitely the right password.

Welcome aboard @Hundredsandthousands I agree, if you could attend the first class to get the books and talk it would help but if not, everyone on here has access to syn values etc.  I also find I get lots of inspiration from all the menus posted.

I'm planning on buying the 12 week countdown on Saturday, hopefully my last one (how many times have I said that!!) but have eleven weeks until DS1 gets home and really want to be close to target, if not at it, by then.

The big defrosting the freezer weekend is approaching and I'm really pleased it's almost empty. Having to cook separate meals for DS2 and I is a real pain but it's either that or waste food and that's not happening.

    Today's food:
B - sweet omelette, f/f Greek yoghurt, bananaa, Skinny syrup (0.5 syns)
L - cheese (HEA2) and ham toastie (HEB), salad bits left
D - roast chicken breast with roasted peppers, tomatoes, onions and h/made wedges

Hope you are all having a good day.
  • Thankyou for the warm welcome and the helpful information :)

@coxy11  I will give the Nevilles bread a try and stock up on the brooklea yogurts (They're delicious) at 0.5 syns each, wow!

@joedenise After a lot of thought I've decided to join online membership as it seems "very easy" to make mistakes and I usually lack energy to make it to class but hopefully that will change :)

H@cherry_22   I feel so afraid to weigh myself, years of ignoring my weight,  lockdown damage, ill health and lots of stress.
Im 5ft 1 and think I could be 12 stone or 13 stone.... Or even more?  I ask myself why did I let this happen? :'(

    On a positive note.......
I visited Home Bargains today and picked up a 12 Week Slimming Diary for £1.69
It has a weekly weight tracker, meal planner, shopping list, measurements, food diary and goals.
On the front cover is says..... Work Hard, Dream Big!

    Thankyou all once again x
  • @cherry22 Sorry that message above was for you. Not only am I learning the slimming world diet I'm also learning how to use this forum  :D

3 stone loss is amazing @SingleSue what an achievement!  You've really inspired me to weigh myself "Thankyou so much"

I'm sorry if I missed anyone out, I have Eds and Pots syndrome so my brain gets very foggy some days x

@Hundredsandthousands - if you do try and get the starter pack on Ebay make sure it is the most recent addition as the syn values may well be wrong.  There hasn't been new books for a few years but can't remember  exactly when the last version was revised.

Welcome @Hundredsandthousands! Well done for making the decision to lose the excess weight! 👍🏼 Please ask if there's anything at all we can help with.

I'm a big Aldi shopper and their Everyday Essentials wholemeal bread is also 2 slices from a large loaf for your daily Healthy Extra B allowance. They also do a very good substitute for Linda McCartney's red onion and rosemary sausages in their Plant range. I think the meat free Richmond sausages you have are 2 syns each. The Aldi ones are syn free. This is a mse thread so, like @Jellybaby said it's important not to waste food. You'll find you probably have things in the house that aren't SW friendly but  that need eating up, unless you can feed it to someone else. 😁

The Hobbs dress sounds an absolute bargain @Coxy11. I'm sure you felt good in it. Quite a NSV.😊

New week starts for me today and I'm hoping it'll be a good one.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S) banana (F)
    L- ham, egg (P), home fries (F,S)
D- liver, bacon (P), mash, LO gravy (F), carrots, onions, cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)
    Syns- 0

Loving the sound of the planner @Hundredsandthousands - I do love a bit of stationery!

The dress has held up against bagging:

Excuse DS2’s bedroom! We don’t have a full length mirror! Deffo need Spanx though!

Thanks for the photo @Coxy11. I think you look amazing! Definitely no need for Spanx IMO. Do you have such thing as a petticoat you could wear under it? 🤔
