I do hope your DH's Covid is very mild and he gets over it quickly @TakeItEazy. I do hope this is an end to all your bad news. 🤗

It's gloriously sunny and quite warm (11 degrees)  here . Great idea to get out for some fresh air and Body Magic @cherry_22. Hope your DH's injection gives him some relief from pain.

I always think the bacon wrapped asparagus looks amazing with the boiled eggs @bubbs. I haven't had boiled eggs for ages, probably not since we were on holiday last summer. I must tell DH to put them back on the breakfast list.

I'd definitely take up the sofas with Trading Standards @Coxy11. I'm very disappointed with M&S. You'd have thought they'd be reputable enough to own up to their mistake.

It's strange @joedenise how some people (for example, when it's suggested on the OS boards) think a meal plan is restrictive. You've proved today that you can easily swap things around and still be sure that nothing gets wasted. I'm always amazed on those TV programmes, like Eat Well for Less, when people just wander around the supermarket throwing stuff in the trolley with no meal plan or any idea what they've already got at home.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, baked beans (F), fried egg, bacon (P)
L- JP (F), tuna mayo with spring onions, tomato, beetroot (P, S)
D- gammon slices (P), potato, carrot & BNS mash (F,S), cabbage stir fry with onions and peppers (S)
    Syns- LTL mayo 1
  • Hugs @TakeItEazy it's really all going on for you at the moment, hope the covid vanishes quickly.

Ditto maman to the boiled eggs can't remember last time we had them, must try them soon.

DH's back injection seems to have been successful although in his words it was like someone had fired a bolt of lightning through his back ouch! He is still sore today thankfully he took an extra day off work. I've took the day off work to look after him but he's just been sleeping mostly, nice easy patient!

    Today's food
B- porridge with honey, nectarine, cuppa
L- chicken salad with golden veg rice
D- creamy leek and sausage bake, potatoes, tenderstem

5 syns for the sausages which seems pretty high for 2 porky lights, they were the only LF ones I could find in Tesco today. 2 syns later for an options 😊

So pleased I got through my wobble late last week and over the weekend, home scales this morning are showing an almost 2lb loss (1lb and 7 eighths!). One more week until official weigh in and hoping I can keep it going as I really want to get my 3 stone certificate next meeting, I was 3lbs away last time two weeks ago and on the home scales, I am pretty much there.

Work issue has solved itself, not completely happy but we reached a compromise that partially deals with it.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Morning all, another lovely day here - relatively warm compared to last few days but still only a little into double figures!  Bit of a breeze too - kinda wish I had some washing to do but there's not a full load in the basket yet!

Done a small shop this morning as had run out of potatoes and mushrooms so picked up a few other bits on my list.  There are still a few things I need to get but can't them until I go over to the next town as need them from Lidl and Sainsbury.  Will pop in this afternoon as DH needs to go and get an X-ray on his knee and our local hospital's machine in waiting for repair!

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
    L - marmite mararoni - HEA2; P; F; 1.5 (a new to me recipe from Slimming Eats website)
    D - avocado, prawns; lamb chop, mash, cheesy vegetable bake - P; S; F; 4.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - oats

    Syns - butter 1.5; cheesy vegetable bake 4.5 (that's only 1/4 pack!)

I didn't buy the vegetable bake my friend gave it to me as they were on offer and it made sense to buy 2 but when they were delivered with her shopping it says not to freeze so she gave one to me.  We'll have to have it over 2 days as I'm not wasting 9 syns on it on one day!

Good luck @SingleSue for WI next week.  I'm sure you'll get that next shiny and certificate.  You're doing brilliantly.

I noticed when I went on the Slimming Eats website earlier that SW have asked her to stop using their trademark term of syns same as they did with PON a while back.  So that's going to cause a fair bit of work to go back through all her old recipes and change them!  I think it's so petty.

I made the marmite macaroni for lunch - it was OK but quite honestly I do find her portion sizes a bit small compared to what we normally eat!  I was OK with it but DH decided he needed a cheese sandwich and a piece of apple pie to follow it, LOL!  I think that's probably the last piece of apple pie from the freezer so no doubt he'll be asking me to make another one soon!

Will I make it again?  I might do if I'm on my own for lunch but not when DH is here as well - it's easier just to make something he'll be happy with without any need for extra to follow!

  • Afternoon all

Happy to see a 1.5lb loss on scales this morning which takes me to the lower stone bracket which I am over the moon about. It's been at least 2 years since I saw that number on the scales. Feeling a lot lighter lately which is definitely a novelty. Also noticing that I am not needing my bra on the loosest fastening in the past week or so which makes me happy.

Well done on your loss @SingleSue and good luck for that next shiny!

Marmite macaroni sounds heavenly @joedenise I'll have to look that recipe up, about to make shopping list for tomorrow so I might that to my meal plan. Your DH sounds a lot like mine, always on the look for extra snacks after meals!

Gone slightly off plan today but straight back on it tomorrow
