Morning all,
Shame about the sofas @bubbs and what a travesty about the YPs! When can you move back home?
DH has gone to Solihull today and I'm WFH. DD turned up unexpectedly yesterday and has stayed over along with a friend. Not sure what their plans are today but we have bread and cheese so they won't starve!
I have made the decision to cancel our milkman order. It's a shame as I like to support small business and also milk from a glass bottle is so much nicer plus kinder to the planet. We were only having 3 pints a week plus 3 pints of juice. Due to the smaller order we were charged a delivery fee all three days and I've found myself throwing milk away lately as just not getting through it. Will just go get milk as an when we need it now.
Lots of gardening done yesterday and managed to finish in time for the rugby - hurrah!
Food today:
B - 35g Weetabix choc melts, blueberries, banana, FF yoghurt - HEB, S, free
L - JP, tuna, ltl mayo, balsamic, pickles, carrot sticks, crab sticks - 1.5, S, free
D - bolognaise pasta bake - free, HEA cheese
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar plus 1.5 so 4.5 total
Have a good day all

Morning all,
Another grey day here but at least it's dry (for now). Hoping to get the old manky washing line down and a new one put up - oh the excitement here!
WFH again and still trying to clear the freezer so meals will get a bit random as the week goes on.
Today's food:
B - bran flakes (HEB), f/f Greek yoghurt, raspberries
L - leek and potato soup (hurrah the last of the leeks!)
D - Cajun chicken pasta
Have a smashing day everyone.0 -
Morning all, another load of washing done and hanging on the line - not sure it will dry though as although it's sunny there's virtually no wind but at least it will be dryer than it was when it came out of the machine!
Shame about your yorkies @bubbs but ovens are all so different. Bet you'll be glad when the next couple of weeks are over and you can get back home to your own oven and decent yorkies again! And a comfortable sofa!
@Jellybaby - I've been trying to clear my outside freezer for months now but somehow it keeps filling up! Take out a pack of mince and end up putting back in 3 or 4 packs of bolognaise sauce for example so it actually never seems to empty! And of course TGTG bags always seem to contain bread when I get them from the next town, our local one very rarely puts bakery stuff in so not so bad.
Today's plan:
B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
L - scrambled eggs and spinach; couple of crisp breads - P; S; 3
D - avocado and prawns; followed by fish, chips & peas - P; F; 5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - crisp breads 3; 50g avocado 5
Have a good day everyone.0 -

Yum! Yum! I'd love to come to dinner with you @joedenise, that's really my sort of menu. 😋😋😋
Enjoy your new washing line @Jellybaby! Such excitement! 🤣
It does seem never ending with the freezer. I redid the inventory on mine before shopping last Friday so it's quite organised at the moment. I've washed out the drawers but the actual freezers and shelves could do with defrosting.
Those were good TGTG bags you got last night @joedenise, lots of SW friendly foods. When I have LO apples, I dice and and freeze them ready for adding to my next batch of braised red cabbage.
I used to have milk delivered @Coxy11 but had to cancel for much the same reasons. It also didn't work in the summer months as they were pretty random at what time they delivered and milk could be left out in the heat. .
I did stick to a few gins last night so have 20+ syns left which I'm unlikely to use. I feel quite slim at the moment so really hoping that with another good week anticipated I can be in range by WI. 🤞🏼
Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, scrambled eggs, ham (P)
L- cold meat (P), fried LO veg and beetroot (S)
D- baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), carrots, cauli, courgettes, green stuff, tomatoes and mushroom (S)
Syns - 00 -
I have one of those American style fridge freezers which was installed when the kitchen was done seven years ago and now there's only two of us, and soon just me, far too big. My hand has been forced on clearing it out though as the drain pipes and defrosting mechanism has frozen solid again. From experiencing this last year and lots of YT tutorials, DS has to strip the whole thing down and let it defrost before cleaning and reassembling.
Upside I have the pleasure of filling it again (although it will be more expensive now), having lovely tidy shelves 🤣 and knowing exactly what's in it. I'm planning to snag a few TGTG bags to help.0
