  • Happy Monday everyone

I really must try these TGTG bags that keep being mentioned here. I've downloaded their app but there's nothing too close to me apart from the nearby Toby Carvery meals but they seem to sell out fast, can't imagine they'd be too SW friendly anyway!

Its a beautiful sunny day here so I'm going to get housework done and then pop out for some fresh air. Working from home means I dont always get out as much as I'd like to so need to make the effort. Not a whole lot going on today other than that. My OH is having a spinal injection later today hopefully killing some of the pain he has been having. I feel very nervous for him as its been a long time coming but it'll be worth it if he is pain free for a while.

    Today's food:

B- porridge HEB made with HEA milk, tsp of honey (1), nectarine (S)
L- heinz minestrone soup (1) with a couple of sesame ryvita (4)
D- balsamic chicken pasta with salad
    £1 a day for 2023 #58 £165/£365

@maman - I don't even bother making red cabbage any more as DH really doesn't like it and I just can't get through even a smallish red cabbage in a reasonable length of time!

@cherry_22 - I don't actually live any of the shops and have to drive wherever I get the bags from!  The nearest Morrisons is about 7 or 8 miles away and the next town one is 15 miles away in the opposite direction.  Apparently Aldi have started doing the TGTG bags as well but since they started doing them the one in the same town as Tesco hasn't had any!  If they ever put any on I may well try one of theirs if I can nab one - just to see if they're any good.

    Morning all,

Food looks lovely as always @bubbs x
Hope your DH's injection goes okay @cherry_22 sounds awful  :o
Well done on the smart hooping @TakeItEazy - whoohooo! x

We enjoyed the bolognaise bake last night. DD stayed and there were an additional 3 portions, so she took one back to uni and there are 2 in the freezer.

Car is (hopefully) being collected today by the muppet garage. @maman we have a loveseat on order which should be coming Friday 24 Feb. They will take away the non-matching armchair and apparently I will receive a giftcard from M&S as after telling me to choose a completely new suite, they reneged and said I had to keep the sofas. Once this is all done and dusted (and I have my giftcard) I will contact Trading Standards to see what they think. The armchair is still being advertised as made of feather when it's hard foam - trades description no?

WFH again today and food will be:
    B - 2 x WM toast, marmite, 2 satsumas, banana - HEB, S, free
    L - LO chicken biryani - free
D - Steak, SW chips, flat mushroom, peas - P, free, HEA
    HEA - milk
    Syns - hi fi bar - 3

We are off to the cinema tonight to see What's Love Got To Do With It - a romcom. Very fitting for Valentine's Day. Not DH's type of thing but I did have to sit through Avatar!!

Have a good day all x

Morning all, looking to be another lovely day here but DH has had a message  earlier to say the golf club is closed due to fog!  It's only about 8 miles away.  Just had another message to say it's open now!

Well done @TakeItEazy - you're doing well with the hoop.  Is it easy to use?

Looks like you get your money's worth with your Unlimited Cinema Pass @Coxy11.  You are seeing plenty of different films.  I'd feel exactly the same if I had to sit through Avatar!  It was bad enough when it was on TV because at least I could get up and wander off, LOL!  Enjoy tonight's film.

Have needed to change today's planned meals as forgot to make my overnight oats last night so will have do that for tomorrow morning now.  Have just swapped breakfast and lunch with tomorrow's planned meals!  Dinner will stay the same as that's from the freezer and I remembered to get the out yesterday.

    Today's revised plan:

    B - cheese omelette - P; part HEA2L - toasted cheese sandwich; passion fruit in jelly; orange; apple -  HEB; part HEA2; S; 0.5

L - toasted cheese sandwich; jelly, passion fruit; orange; apple

D - avocado; prawns; beef stew, mash, cabbage - P; S; F (DH will also have dumplings!)

    HEA1 - milk

    HEA2 - cheese

    HEB - bread

    Syns - jelly 0.5; avocado 5

    Have a good day everyone.

PS. Did actually type this earlier but had to save it to a document as the site was down for maintenance.  Had to fiddle about with it a bit to get it to look OK as it was all over the place when I copied and pasted it here!

The hoop is really easy compared to the solid hoop, doesn’t fall down when you lose rhythm just have to re swing the weight 🤗
