  • @joedenise I use the skimmed milk for cups of tea and the oat milk to make a latte,
although I never thought to make a rice pudding with it. Is it easy to make?

@bubbs Sorry to hear about your mum having covid, I hope she recovers quickly and you manage to avoid it.

Today was my daughters birthday and we got her a massive chocolate birthday cake from Tescos ending that day,
    reduced to £3  (I had a banana instead)  :)

    Morning all.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

Was naughty last night and had pizza from the local takeaway 🤦‍♀️. It was lovely though! When we up there we saw a friend of mine who goes to the same slimming group, going to the chippy! Back on plan today, lol.

Bubbs - sorry to hear about your Mom. Hope she recovers soon.

Hundredsandthousands - hope your daughter had a nice birthday and enjoyed the cake.

Have a good day all. xx

Morning all, looking a bit grey and overcast this morning but hopefully it'll brighten up later.  Need to pop out to the shops again as run out of a few things.  Still it will save me going tomorrow which was when I was going to go.  Wouldn't have been able to go until after 10 though as have my hairdresser coming to cut my hair at 9.30.  It certainly needs doing again!  I'm going to have to leave it an extra week until the next time though as want it cut just before I go on holiday!

@bubbs - it's one thing after the other for your mum and your family.  Hope she recovers quickly from Covid.

@Hundredsandthousands - I just make the rice pudding the same way you would pre SW except using sweetener instead !of sugar!  Pudding rice, some sweetener and milk, give it a good stir and bake in the oven.  If you use a Tbs or more sweetener you should syn it.

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich - HEA2; HEB
    L - carrot and lentil soup - P; S; F
    D - egg, chips, beans, mushrooms - P; S; 7

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - chip shop chips 7

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

I'm in the office today but not a lot of folks in, so I can sneakily post on here! I heard the train companies might be offering a reduced fare for Mondays and Fridays to encourage folks back into the office on those days. As my trains start/terminate at my station I would still get a seat and any reduction in the £14.10/day would be welcomed!

Well done to @Hundredsandthousands for resisting the chocolate birthday cake. I hope your DD had a lovely day x

Hugs to you @beanielou - hopefully not as bad as you fear when you WI tomorrow - and onwards with the plan xx

    Food today:
B - overnight oats, cinnamon bun mullerlight, cherries - HEB, 0.5, free
    L - JP, baked beans, grated mini babybel, 2 x plums, 2 x satsumas, grapes - 1, free, HEA, S, free
D - easy chicken curry, rice - free
    HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar plus 1.5 so 3.5 total

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

    Morning everyone,

@bubbs your poor mum, hopefully symptoms will be mild and pass quickly.  I echo talking to your MP but also the consultant your dad is under detailing your concerns so every base is covered.

I've had a strange few days, inlaw related stuff but it's highlighted my thinking is right and I'm much happier not seeing them! I'm definitely an emotional eater as I went off the rails, back on plan but will need to work on how to handle this.

One spark of joy is starting to fill the freezer 😁

    Today's food:
    B - toast (HEB), banana
L - pea and ham soup
D - l/over mince (loaded with onion and carrots), potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower

    Have a good day all.

  • Morning all.  Sneaking back in after a couple of nightmare weeks - apologies I haven't managed to catch up on all the posts I missed but sending hugs to those that need them.

Pleased to say that overall I've managed to maintain in the last couple of weeks despite a lot of stress and a little of eating anything in sight 🤫  Jumped straight back in with a workout this morning (which was a lot harder than I remember it being!), followed by a breakfast of ff yogurt, blueberries and granola (can't beat a classic).  Lunches this week are nando's inspired grain bowls (basically bulgar wheat, broccoli, hummus and salad bits)  and dinner tonight is carbonara.

Hope everyone is doing as well as can be and has a good day.

It's dull but mild here @joedenise but the sun is trying hard to break through. My hair needs cutting too, must make an appointment.

I read about the proposed train fares too @Coxy11. I think it was just one train company at the moment but it's an excellent idea. Cheaper Fridays would probably encourage more leisure travel too.

Good to see you back posting @ruby_eskimo. I wondered where you'd got to. Sorry to hear you've had a stressful time but well done for getting back to both healthy eating and your exercise plan! 👍🏼

Although I'm not a pizza fan myself @Abbafan1972, I'm a great believer in enjoying syns. There's nothing worse than wasting them on something that's not worth it. Now just draw that line and move on. Easy (not!) 🤣

You need a strategy to stop your in-laws derailing your plans @Jellybaby. Did you go out and buy synful stuff deliberately for your comfort eating or was it something you had at home?🤔

Glad to hear you're ready to attack the weightloss again @beanilou. 🤞🏼 it won't be too bad at WI later.

    Today's EE plan_
B- HEB toast, fried egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- cold meat (P), 1 potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- baked cod (P), cubed potatoes, mushy peas (F), green stuff, mushrooms, carrots, tomatoes (S)
    Syns- 0

No, it was all stuff I had at home @maman, mainly wine and bread!  I won't see them again (that's if I decide to see them) until at least July/August and I'll be at target by then 🤞
