Afternoon all, another late one from me today!  Foggy again this morning and very damp but cleared about 11 so DH suggested I go to the golf club with him and walk round for a bit of exercise so that's what I decided to do.  When we got to the golf club it was still too foggy for him to play so he just got a bucket of balls and hit them down the range for a while.  Afterwards went into the clubhouse and had some lunch and a drink so not quite what was planned but not too many syns thankfully - and it's a new week technically anyway!

    So today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette - P; S
L - beef stew, small piece French stick; G&T - P; S; 6.5 (didn't have the butter just a bit of the bread)
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, beans, corn on the cob - P; F

    HEA - milk
HEB - none planned but may have a cereal bar or 2 later
    Syns - gin 3; French stick 3.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Sounds like they serve up a good meal at the golf club @joedenise. 😋

I buy the dried noodles from Aldi. They're syn free and take a maximum of 4 minutes to cook so even easier and faster than rice. That being said, I like to keep HM pouches of brown and pilau rice in the freezer but used the last one yesterday with chilli. I must batch cook more. 🤔

Another glorious day here, even managed to dry a line of washing outside. 😁

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- cold chicken (P), potatoes (F), salady bits from fridge, beetroot (S)
    D- corned beef hash (P, F, S and HEA2 cheese topping ), cauli, broccoli, cabbages (S)
Syns - 4? (depends on portion size, may be more).

Even allowing for the few crisps I've picked at, I'm finishing the week with about 20 syns left. 👍

@maman - the beef stew was today's special - nothing else on the menu was SW friendly at all!  They give you plenty of butter if you want it - 2 packs with about a 2" piece of French stick!  I didn't bother with it at all and DH only used one pack on this bread.

Wondered what was going on @bubbs with the photos!  Should have guessed you were having a problem loading them!

Going to dump the rest of the bag of corn on the cobs!  I've tried microwaving and boiling and they just don't cook properly - they're still tough.  I usually buy the ones from Iceland but because I was in Tesco when they were on my list I bought their ones but never again.  Will stick with Iceland's in future as they are good both microwaved and boiled!  Couple of syns tonight as had a scrape of butter on the corn even though I didn't eat it all!  Still less than 10 for the day so I'm OK with that.

Are you going to WI this week @maman?  I'm probably going next week as according to my scales I was bang on top end of target yesterday so hopefully I can get a little bit under by next Wednesday!

I know you can afford the syns @bubbs but 2 lots of food in one day is a bit much! 🤣

Didn't need noodles with the 5 spice chicken as the bag of stir fry veg was plenty. In fact 2 breasts made 3 decent portions. It was okay....not sure I loved it, so DH can have the lo's for lunch tomorrow. The meat looked a bit grey which was a bit off-putting. DH followed the very quick recipe to the letter and it did look like the photo in the book, I just wasn't overly keen.

DH has gone out to a pub quiz with his mates, so I've had an epsom salts bath, face mask and night cream. Now sat in my PJs with a snoring puppy, candle burning and feet up - bliss!

I don't have to go to WI for another 5 weeks unless I want to @joedenise. I've been looking at the calendar though and working backwards from my planned holiday in June! 😁

I've also got my birthday and a short break planned for next month. I'll probably shorten the gaps a bit as I think I'll need more than a grace week to get back to target after that.

So I'll go next week or the week after to try and be in target for my birthday in mid March.

You've done so well to have that week in the Canaries and be back in range so soon. 👍
