Morning all. Good luck with the meetings today @Coxy11 - I'm also in back to back meetings and really can't be bothered because TOTM is making me feel awful.
Was so foggy when I went out for a walk this morning - very glad I found my head torch last night otherwise I may have been in trouble! Had some porridge to warm up with when I got back. Lunch is carrot and coriander soup and dinner is a fish pie. Will make a double portion so I have leftovers for dinner on Thursday too.
Hope everyone has a good day.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Morning all, a bleak, grey, wet day here.
I'm WFH too @Coxy11 and our new manager moves from a completely different team to join ours today - we've been told to expect some major changes! I have the same deep joy 🤣
Today's food:
B - f/f Greek yoghurt, nectarines, bananaa
L - bagel thin (HEB), tuna, salad, pickles (1.5 syns for salad cream)
D - mince (with onions & carrot), turnip and carrot mash and broccoli
Have a good day all!0 -
Afternoon all, still a bit misty here but trying to brighten up. Needed to take DH's car into the garage this morning for MOT, just waiting on a phone call to say it's ready. Think it should be OK as it was serviced a couple of months ago.
Tomorrow will be sorting out the insurance for it and will also need to tax it later this month as that's due on 1 March as well!
I'm so glad I don't work any more - the thought of back to back meetings fills me with horror!
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash, topped with a couple of eggs - P; S
L - LO roast beef & horseradish sandwich - HEB; 4
D - chickpea and vegetable curry (from freezer), rice - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 3.5; horseradish 0.5
Have a good day everyone.

Sorry it's gloomy with you @Jellybaby, it really can affect your mood. We've had another glorious day. It's nippy but beautifully sunny here.😊
I feel for civil servants today @Coxy11, all that shifting around is bad enough but to have it announced in the media before the employees it affects are told is really poor IMO.☹
I ended up having a handful of crisps last night and another taste of stilton. It doesn't make much of a dent in the syn bank though. I'm planning on making a corned beef hash tomorrow (5 syns for my portion) as I can well afford the syns which some weeks I can't.
Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, scrambled eggs (P)
L- ham (P), potato (F), fried veg and beetroot (S)
D- veggie chilli (P,S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)

Started work at 8am and finished at 5.15pm with a half hour lunch. Luckily I took the soup out to defrost first thing so I could just reheat it. I popped out after work to post a Bay of E parcel at Londis as they take Evri parcels. I then popped into Ts for some satsumas and some stir fry veg for tomorrow nights tea. Left up to DH (who is cooking tomorrow) he would go to Ws!!
There are lots of unknowns still at work, so I'll just have to ride out the storm as too early to retire just yet, much as I'd like to!

Morning, your noodles look good @bubbs. I usually opt for rice but in the spirit of shaking up my meal plan I might add them to the shopping list for next week.
Another long WFH day but hoping to get out for a walk at lunch time. It's blowing a gale and wet but will do me good (let's see if I'm still saying that come 1pm!).

B - bran flakes (HEB), f/f Greek Yoghurt, mango, Skinny syrup (0.5 syns)
L - leek and potato soup
