    Hi everyone,

I had a 1lb loss at group this week - happy with that. I was gifted a copy of the latest magazine by our consultant as a thank you for doing Pay. I also help to pack up the hall at the end, which I'm happy to do, but nice to be recognised.

I went to Aldi this afternoon with a meal plan list. Spent £56 which included a small bunch of tulips for me, and a new jar candle as both the Christmas ones are nearly spent. This one is cherries and smells like bakewell tart mmmm.

    Food today was:
    B - banana - free
L - SW speedy soup, WM roll, 2 satsumas, grapes - S, HEB, S, free
D - Tin-Can Massaman Curry (from the new mag) - free (and delicious, and cheap....)
    HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar, packet of lentil curls, gin n slimline tonic - 10.5 total

    Have a good evening all
    Coxy

    Great loss coxy.
I do weigh at two classes.
It would be nice to get an odd hi fi bar or magazine.
People say oh do you get anything for doing it.
    That will be a no!

Beanie thanks , my old consultant always gave us a mag, will see if this one gives anything as i now do pay for her.

Apparently she was taken aside by some members today as when she goes round if you have had a gain she says , eg oh bubbs gained 2lb this week can we help? well she sent a WA video out to everyone and put it on the page that's how it was supposed to be done but if you are uncomfortable about it to speak to her and she will leave you out

Now i have NEVER known a consultant to tell the whole group how much you gained 😱😱

Well done on your loss @Coxy11. 👏👏👏 That's good considering your symptoms were all in the wrong direction.

Why no ice cream maker @bubbs? 🤔

Sorry to hear your dad is feeling sore although I'm not surprised as they don't seem to prioritise getting him up and moving. I'm sure it's probably because of  staff shortage but your dad seems a typical example of people who don't need to be talking up a hospital bed. I don't suppose there's any news of a move to a suitable placement? 🤔

Glad to hear you got a little thank you from the consultant @Coxy11, I suppose it's down to individuals @beanielou. 🤔

Well if my consultant said oh Lou has had a gain of xlb I would be less than chuffed.
I have also never heard a consultant actually mentioning how much a gain is.

Hi all, well done Bubbs and Coxy on your loss 👏👏 I had a pound gain 😳 think it must be fluid as it’s TOTM (yes, still at 58!) so will plod on.  Also going back to the weekly syn bank system 😄

My consultant says ‘not quite gone to plan this week’ but never mentions the amount gained.

Out tomorrow with a friend for lunch but other than that should be a good week.

    Morning all,

Looks like a nice sunny but chilly day today. We have plans to do some gardening - just cutting back and tidying up. Nice bit of body magic!

Sorry about the gain @Jellybaby - sounds like your consultant is spot on with the IT. Ours just says 'how are you feeling this week Coxy?' or we can choose to ask not to be spoken to at all. I did that last week but tbh I was registering a couple of new members during IT so didn't join the horseshoe anyway.

    Food today:

    B - 2 satsumas, poached egg, grilled bacon, mushrooms - S, P
L - Soft pitta, tuna, LTL mayo, balsamic vinegar, pickles, carrot sticks - HEB, P, 0.5, S
D - Harry's Derry Stew from the new mag - will do this in the SC. Have made the meatballs already, so just need to fry them off and add to the other ingredients. Will have cabbage and green beans with it - Free, S
    HEA - milk
    HEA - mini babybels
Syns - hi fi bar, bag of Ringos, plus 0.5 - 6.5 total

    Have a good day all
    Coxy

Morning, all well done on your loss @Coxy11; that's really good considering your symptoms at the moment.  Hope the symptoms disappear soon.  It seems to have been around for a good while.

Was really pleased to get most of my washing dry yesterday - just a few bits on one side didn't dry, I think it was probably because that bit of the garden is a bit shaded.  Usually it's OK because the line goes round in the wind so everything gets a bit of a blow.  Still the few bits that didn't dry dried overnight on the airer.  I've put my couple of bits away and DH's are on the bed waiting for him to put them away - he'll probably forget until bed time same as he usually does!  But I have no intention of waiting on him hand and foot like his mum used!!!

@Coxy11 at my old group the consultant used to give everyone on the Social Team a copy of the magazine every month and a small gift at Christmas, even those who only stood in for the weeks when the usual ST were on holiday.

@bubbs - None of the consultants at the groups I've been to have ever said how much people have gained just something along the lines of how are you feeling this week, is there anything we can do to help?  I think that's really bad saying how much people have gained - I'm pretty sure that's not how it's supposed to be done.

Hope they can find somewhere for your dad soon, it's awful the way he isn't being treated properly; and that poor man whose bag isn't being changed - that is just awful.

@Coxy11 - I like the sound of the Tin Can Massaman Curry - any chance you could post the recipe please?  I don't buy the magazine often as there as so few New recipes but that one is definitely new.  Sounds like it could be a take on a Jack Monroe recipe!

Right this is getting a bit of an essay now so today's plan:

    B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
L - burger & onions in WM roll with gherkin slices - HEB; S; 0.5
    D - roast beef, roast potatoes, roasted veg, green veg, yorkie (maybe!) - P; S; F; 2

    HEA - milk
    HEB - roll
Syns - LF sausages 2; LF burger 0.5; yorkie 2?

    Have a good day everyone.
