Slight change to lunch plan as DH used up all the spinach in the curry last night. Subbed with cherry toms for a tomato and cheese omelette. Had carrot sticks and pickles on the side (bit odd but tasty and S!!). Managed to declutter 2 further jars from the fridge from the Christmas pickles stash.

How lovely to see deer @ruby_eskimo! I last saw some whilst walking the WHW last April. Magnificent creatures.

Change of plan for lunch here too!  Needed to go out and buy some petrol (a can as only 9 mile range left on my car! and it's about 8 miles to the garage so didn't want to risk it!); went in DH's car and bought about 5l.  While out decided we might as well do the shopping I was planning on doing tomorrow.

Wrap ended up with some mixed leaves, cucumber and tomatoes with the falafels.  Think they're the best ones I've made - were really tasty.  Also cooked a couple of scotch eggs which will do for lunch in the next day or two.

I got a shiny sticker and certificate yesterday for my 2 and a half stone award, it will nice to pick up another one next time I weigh in so fingers crossed.

Apparently both me and middle son are in her top 15 for the year, no idea if it is the whole year, combined as a twosome or what but it was nice to hear especially as she has large groups.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Yay to the shiny @SingleSue xx and well done for being in your consultant's top 15 losers!

9 mile range is too close for comfort @joedenise! I stress when it's 50   :o

I think we cross posted yesterday @Matron_Midge. Well done on your loss! 👏🏼 A regular pound or so a week is to be applauded. 👍🏼

That's quite an achievement to be high up the list of best losers for all your consultant's groups @SingleSue. Well done you.

Is this the recipe your DH used @Coxy11? I've been happy with the chicken bhuna but anything easy suits me.

Sorry to hear you're feeling fat @Jellybaby, hopefully it's just water and will disappear, keep having plenty of fluids. This is my last week before eating out starts again so I'm determined to give it my best shot. I'm going to try the 105 squares.

How lovely to see deer so close to home @ruby_eskimo . Like @joedenise , I've only see them regularly in the New Forest, although a munchback did jump onto the bonnet of my car in Sussex one night. ☹ It caused no end of damage to the bodywork. I certainly wasn't feeling sentimental about him! 🤣 I suppose you always have your DH's car to fall back on @joedenise but I don't think I'd risk running low on fuel with you having to travel a distance wherever you want go. I like to keep my car fairly full all the time so generally fill up when I'm passing Asda as they have the best price for miles around.

Sounds like another day, another disaster for you @bubbs. Whatever next?🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, baked beans (F), bacon and egg (P)
L- ham and fridge bits (P,S,F), lentil soup (P,S)
D- liver, bacon (P), mash, LO gravy (F), various veg (S)
    Syns- 0

  • Thanks Maman, I know you are right but it just seems so slow.
the piripiri halloumi bake was scrumptious - I recommend it!

The only reason the car got so low was because I couldn't get the petrol cap to open and DH was at golf!  I had planned to fill up but just couldn't.  DH has had a look at it and seems there was a bit of "gunk" on the bit in the car I needed to lift and so it was stuck but with a bit of brute force it's cleared now so when I go out next time I'll fill up!  Usually fill up when we get to about half but with going away didn't bother, just filled up DH's car as that's what we were using to go to the airport.

Definitely won't be letting it get that low again - I was panicking by the time I got home; wasn't even sure I was going to make it!

Enjoyed the chicken curry tonight as not had a curry for a while.  Couldn't believe there wasn't anything spicy at the hotel while we were away - not a chilli or curry in sight - just pork in various disguises!

Apologies to @Jellybaby. You're not fat after all! 😁 Hope you don't take offence.

Glad you can still laugh about it all {>@bubbs. Let's hope that's the last of your disasters. 🤞

I've been there @joedenise. When I bought my current car I had no idea how to open the petrol cap. Actually all I have to do is press on it and it opens, nothing inside the car as it was on previous model (of same car). 🤔

I'm still struggling with my sense of taste coming and going because of blocked sinuses from my cold. ☹️ DH said dinner tasted good. Really? I wouldn't know. ☹️
