Change of plan here too! ย Ended up at the hospital until nearly 7.30 tonight so whilst my friend was in hospital having her op we went into the nearby town for a wander and to kill some time. ย We went into Spoons for lunch and I was good and had a gammon steak with Mediterranean salad. ย It also came with peas, tomato & mushroom - it was the smallest flat mushroom I've ever seen.

Bought a dress from one of the charity shops for ยฃ2.50 which I thought would be good for when we go on holiday in April.

As we were so late decided to get a chicken kebab for dinner tonight. ย Certainly not a syn free day but fairly low syn.

Didn't you take your ice cream maker with you @bubbs?

So looks like it's going to be celery soup for lunch and Fakeaway KFC for dinner tomorrow!

Well done @VALM on your lb loss.

I've tried SP but felt hungry so only lasted a few days and not bothered since! ย I enjoy my carbs too much and seem to need them in order to feel full up! ย I still have SP meals but not full days.

    Morning,

I don't have that book @bubbs sorry. Gosh you'd think the owner would have checked out the static before hiring it to someone surely? Sounds awful. Glad your DDad has put on a little weight xx

Yes exactly @beanielou - will go along and see what's what. I have to mark unauthorised absences today on peoples HR records so their pay and pension gets deducted. Another sh***y job. Three more "sorry you don't have a job past the end of March" letters to send as well.

Well done on the 1lb loss @VALM. No I've never done SP - not brave enough lol!

    Food today:
    B - poached egg, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes - P, S
L - JP, baked beans, cheese, carrot and celery sticks - 1, free, HEA, S
D - easy chicken curry (50 Golden Greats book) with rice - free
    HEA - milk
    HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - 1

We are at the cinema tonight to see The Fabelmans.
    Have a good day all

    Morning all,

I'm in a similar profession @Coxy11 all my working life and I've never known it to be this bad.ย  Thankfully I'm at an age where I may have a choice in whether to stay or go.

Well done on your loss @VALM I've tried SP but only for a day or so at a time.ย  Like others, I found I was hungry (maybe psychological) and missed carbs too much.ย  I also got quite confused on what I could and couldn't have so that didn't help either!

You're having some time of it @bubbs hope you get a massive discount on the cost of the static- but go your dad putting on weight! yay!

    Today's food:
B - sweet omelette with banana, mango and f/f Greek yoghurt, Skinny syrup (0.5 syns)
L - pea and ham soup, bagel thin (HEB) with ham and salad
D - veggie jambalaya (DS cooking so will have to check recipe)

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Eeekk hope you get all the issues sorted in the static @bubbs, sounds horrendous!ย  Hope you're getting some refund as well off the cost of the stay.

Well done on the loss @VALM.

Had a lovely evening out with DH last night - we went to see Buffy Revamped - it's a one man show from last year's Edinburgh Fringe retelling the entire 7 seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer from the perspective of one of the vampires.ย  Was absolutely hilarious and even DH really enjoyed it and he's not the biggest Buffy fan.ย  Went to a new local Mexican restaurant for dinner and it was amazingly good - had fish tacos which came with lots of fresh salad and salsa.ย  Did wake up feeling rather bloated but think that was due to the diet coke I drank as haven't had anything fizzy for a while and think it just doesn't agree with me anymore.

Breakfast this morning was ff yogurt, blueberries and a tiny bit of granola, lunch is probably going to be some form of soup and dinner is a Keema Pie (basically a shepherds pie but cubed potatoes and cauliflower on top of a keema curry).ย  It's a take on a recipe I saw on the Waitrose site where they topped it with potato rosti's.ย  Could be good, could be awful, will let you know!

Hope everyone has a good day!

  • Hi everyone

Happy to report a 1lb loss on the scales this morning getting me my half stone award. It's been TOTM as well so I feel bloated as anything was not expecting any movement on those scales at all.

Well done beanie and VALM on your losses too.

I did try SP the last time I did SW, think I managed 3 days in a row but started craving the carbs big style afterwards. Don't think I could do it long term but I definitely felt fuller after all the protein so will have to try some more SP meals at some point. Think I love SW wedges and chips too much now to do it for days on end ๐Ÿคฃ

Official weigh in this morning, over the last 3 weeks since the last SW weigh in, I have lost 5lbs (which agrees with my home scales).

Total loss is now 2 stone 11lbs.

Middle son also lost 5lbs over the last three weeks and has now lost 3 stone 11.5lbs in total.

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
