@joedenise we only realised this year that Clubcard vouchers can be used towards Royal Caribbean cruise. Does it always take ages for Tesco to process the points?
Absolutely not!  I checked how many vouchers I needed for my Eurotunnel trip and opened the Clubcard site and clicked on the vouchers I wanted to spend, once that was done and submitted I got a confirmation email with a 2nd to follow within 15 minutes - it actually arrived about 2 minutes later!  Then booked the tunnel and used the reference number in the 2nd email and submitted and trip paid for.  Took all of 10 minutes at the most from start to finish!

It's much better now that it is all by email.  It used to be you got the 2 emails and then had to phone Eurotunnel to book your tunnel telling them you were using Tesco vouchers so definitely took longer.

Definitely worth using as many vouchers as you can when they're worth 3 times the amount rather than just cashing them in for shopping at face value.

Royal Caribbean keep saying that the vouchers haven't been processed.
Not sure if Royal Caribbean use the same system as Eurotunnel so not really sure what/where the problem lies.  Did you get a code from Tesco to pass onto Royal Caribbean?  If not then it sounds like the problem is with Tesco so worth a phone call.  However if you did get a code and pass that on to Royal Caribbean it sounds like it's a problem with them.

May well be worth a call to Tesco Clubcard anyway and see what they say.  As I say I've only ever used them for Eurotunnel and a couple of meal vouchers for eating out.

Hope you can get it sorted.

@Ruby_Eskimo - forgot to say well done on your unexpected loss - often think those losses are better than the one that are expected!

That's awfully sad news about the young man @Coxy11. Devastating for his family and friends.

Well done on your loss @ruby_eskimo. I'm sure it's lots of good days catching up with the scales. 👏👏👏

I like the idea of ticking off the syns @VALM, great idea to track everything you eat (and drink ☹️). Good luck for WI.

I've cooked a small gammon joint today and lentil soup is on now for lunches. Did you make your soup in the soup maker @Coxy11? Is it working OK now? 🤔

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs, ham (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- cold pork (P), 1 potato (F), fried vegetables and pickled cabbage (S)
D- baked salmon (P), SW chips (F), carrot chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
Syns - some crackling may have passed my lips 🤔😉

@bubbs Sunday roast is MRM's signature dish so I'm happy to spend the Syns on the Yorkshire pudding. I am a one pot wonder kind of cook. Made this lovely Cantonese Chicken dish last night and it was gorgeous.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Morning everyone,

DH cooked a lovely new recipe last night from the Fast Feasts book – grilled chilli salmon. Really quick and tasty. He went to W’rose to get oyster sauce and lazy chillis though – so not all that MSE!

I love the 105 squares syn log @VALM, what a great idea. That Cantonese chicken looks lush mmmm

Well done on the weightloss @beanielou xx

The soup was from the vat I made last week @maman. I used one portion and then froze 3, so took one into work and microwaved it. Very tasty.

That’s tragic about the young lad @bubbs xx

    Today’s food:

    B – poached egg, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, 1 x wm toast – P, S, ½ HEB

L – JP, baked beans, cheese, carrot and celery sticks – 1, free, HEA, S

D – DH is out for dinner (unexpectedly) so plan  was to have pasta with tomato and hidden bean sauce but might have a kiddy dinner of egg, sw chips and beans mmmmmmm!

    HEA – milk

½ HEB – hi fi bar

    Syns – 1 planned

Forgot to mention that I picked up a Morries TGTG bag on Sunday night en route to taking DS2 back to uni. It’s a small Morries in a filling station. I got 3 x spaghetti bolognaise ping meals, 3 pots of chicken tikka sandwich filler, a pot of guacamole and 1kg of white potatoes. Gave everything bar the potatoes and one pot of chicken tikka to DS2. He has frozen the meals and used the sandwich filler and guac yesterday for lunch/dinner.

    Have a good day all

    Coxy
