Morning all, another dry day so more washing out on the line - at least that's the end of the holiday washing done.  Got 2 loads washed and dried yesterday, hoping today will be the same.

Was going to go and see DD2 today but the road from where we live to where she lives is closed for the weekend so looks like it will have to be another time.  The road will be closed again next week end so goodness knows when we'll get up to see her!  Will probably go over to DD1s this afternoon as she's only in the next big town so not to far away!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
    L - burger, onions, chips, beans - S; F; 4.5
D - roast chicken dinner with roast potatoes and veg, green veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
HEB - may have a Skinny Crunch or 2 later
    Syns - sausages 2; burger 0.5; frozen chips 4

    Have a good day everyone.

You've done well to clear the holiday washing so quickly @joedenise.👍🏼

I felt really rough when I woke up this morning but after a few mugs of tea, a shower and some paracetamol I'm feeling a bit more human! I find that colds do tend to be worse first thing although this is my first in over 3 years.. I don't plan to do much today other than make dinner and look after myself. 😊

I'm another that just plans dinners for the week but I do make sure I have the ingredients for other meals which I decide on the day. DH has a list of SW friendly breakfasts that he makes for us. When I started SW I literally wrote him a list of what I could eat so he's well versed now. For lunches, I have leftovers at least twice a week with things  like omelettes and JPs on other days.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk for (copious) drinks, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), LO curry (P,S), salad bits (S)
D- JO roast pork (P), SW roast potatoes (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😁

It's quicker to all the washing done after a one week holiday than a 2 week or month's holiday!

I've just booked our Eurotunnel for our motorhome trip to France in September using some of our Clubcard vouchers - a couple of which were due to expire end of next month.  For a change I could actually exchange the exact amount of vouchers needed so didn't need to pay any money towards the ticket!  This of course means there is a little bit extra in the holiday pot!

DH is now talking about getting away for his birthday in May!  He seems to think there's a money tree growing in the garden!!!

    Hi everyone

I've had a bad couple of days food-wise and can't even pinpoint why. I'm a bit of an emotional eater at times but haven't really felt stressed or sad lately. Just one of those blips I guess. Although thinking about it TOTM is due so could well be that. Thankfully there wasn't a whole lot of bad food around to call out to me from the cupboards so it could have been worse. We'll see what the scales say on Wednesday anyway.

I've been better around food yesterday thankfully. We had Sainsburys skinny burgers for tea, wasn't expecting much for 1 syn but they were a lot tastier than some other low fat burgers I have eaten in the past so will buy them again.

    Today's food:

B- overnight oats with nectarine and plum (1 syn for yoghurt)
L- stuffed peppers with golden veg rice and salad
D- chilli loaded wedges with veg - counting 2 syns for fajita seasoning as its not the free version

No other syns planned as I need to claw some back :)

There's nothing like planning another holiday to get over holiday blues @joedenise. On Thursday, we booked a short break in Belfast for March. We should have gone in March 2020, just before lockdown but Flybe went bust. Now they've gone bust again 24 hours after our booking! Fortunately, this time our flight is with Aer Lingus! 🤣

Blips happen @cherry_22 but, as you said, it helps to have SW friendly food in the house. I buy biscuits and cakes for my DH but they don't tempt me at all. Crisps are a different story so I only buy them on special occasions.

I really enjoyed my lunch. Taste buds aren't normal with my cold so curry was ideal. 😋 Added some extra mushrooms for speed and to stretch it a bit.

@joedenise we only realised this year that Clubcard vouchers can be used towards Royal Caribbean cruise. Does it always take ages for Tesco to process the points?

Absolutely not!  I checked how many vouchers I needed for my Eurotunnel trip and opened the Clubcard site and clicked on the vouchers I wanted to spend, once that was done and submitted I got a confirmation email with a 2nd to follow within 15 minutes - it actually arrived about 2 minutes later!  Then booked the tunnel and used the reference number in the 2nd email and submitted and trip paid for.  Took all of 10 minutes at the most from start to finish!

It's much better now that it is all by email.  It used to be you got the 2 emails and then had to phone Eurotunnel to book your tunnel telling them you were using Tesco vouchers so definitely took longer.

Definitely worth using as many vouchers as you can when they're worth 3 times the amount rather than just cashing them in for shopping at face value.

    Hi all,

Lovely salmon salad followed by seafood risotto last night. I had a small Peroni and a glass of Sauv Blanc too. Today has been a go slow kind of Sunday. DS1 and DIL2B came early doors to tell us about their travels and collect pup. DD took BF home. DS2's birthday so he went to church with GF and has just come back for a late lunch! We are doing spag bol (meat and quorn versions for tea) before DS2 and DD head back to uni.

Other than that, I've been tidying up, listing on Ebay, ironing! Had toast and jam for breakfast and some cheese and crackers for lunch (naughty). Back on plan 100% tomorrow!

    Afternoon all.

Have skimmed over the posts and there was quite a few!  Didn't come on here yesterday, as it my birthday and we went out for a chinese buffet - it was lovely!  Not very SW friendly, but you only get one birthday a year!

Am just waiting for an Iceland order to come, have ordered some of the SW quarter pounder burgers, as there have been good reports about them in group.

Has anyone been watching "The last of us" on Sky?  Only been 2 episodes so far, but it seems good!

    Anyway, will speak soon. xx
