    Evening all,

A 2lb loss for me this week - very happy with that. I had a pot of mango at group and a hifi when I got home. We had a mortgage appointment at 12noon so later lunch of ryvita, mackerel in mustard sauce, carrot and celery sticks. Will syn the hi fi along with a flump I munched mid-afternoon. We've covered 5/8 kitchen chair seats today. Was a bit tricky at times but they look so good!

Dinner tonight is a cheeky chicken shish kebab takeaway.

Frustrating for you @Jellybaby - especially when you've been good. Hopefully you'll have that gone for next WI.

    Have a good evening all

Excellent loss @Coxy11. 👏👏👏 You deserve your take away after covering the chairs.

Sorry that WI wasn't kind to you @Jellybaby. Keep plodding! 😊

Hope you had a better hospital visit today @bubbs and no more disasters for your dad. Enjoy your Chinese. I'm sure it's worth trying more syns.

I would really not want to have 15 syns a day. I got to target with the syn bank and have stayed there for 10+ years so I'm sticking with it. 😁

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, fried eggs, bacon (P), HEA milk for drinks
    L- ham (P), bubble and squeak (F, S), pickles (S)
    D- sweet and sour chicken (P, S), noodles (F)
    Syns - Ben's sauce 1.5, half Crunchie 2, weekend wine 😁

Great news about your visit @bubbs. Good for you and your mum after all the stressful times. Any news on the move to the specialist setting? 🤔

No, no news on move :(

Mum looked dreadful when i went to pick her up saying she didn't want to go as Dad was nasty to her yesterday again, i thought it was odd she wasn't ready, i told her again she needs to speak to the doctor to get some help, it's nothing to be ashamed of, i told her last week and she didn't do it but she said she will Monday.
There doctor is understanding and knows what is happening.

I did say to Mum he smalls like a babies bum again, anyway we looked and his stoma had leaked he was covered, pj's , him, sheets, called the nurse she said he was changed this morning 😱 Mum said i change him 4/5/6/7 times a day, you don't leave a baby in a s hitty nappy !!
They then said are you doing it? Mum said no i am not he is in your care, shouldn't see why i should, she is fe up of them as she is always changing him, last week did it twice when i was there

  • Morning, and happy Sunday. It’s white over here with a raw frost that grabs your breath when you go outside (dog walk)

Oh Bubbs, I can’t believe how bad the care is for your dad. Makes my blood boil. The ward manager needs to know (maybe they already do) but this seems to me to be a collection of poor practice and issues that sit fair and square with the nursing team. I would be ashamed if this happened so consistently on my watch!

ive just got weighed and have lost 1/2lb. I’m going to have a look at my portion size because I haven’t done anything other than eat on plan. I always lose slowly but I do get fed up when I stick to it, cook specially and stay in syns. I do load my plate, I love carbs and I wonder if that might be my problem as I do eat loads of speedy veg.
    a loss is a loss though so………
Chinese new year today so for dinner I’m going to do stirfry, chicken breast strips (sw kfc style) rice and I have a packet sauce for 3 syns
lunch is cauliflower/broccoli soup and HEb bread
brekkie is as always 0% yog and berries.
might have a couple of choccies with Happy Valley tonight

    Enjoy Your day everyone

Morning all, very frosty here again.

Glad you had a good visit to DDad and that he was eating well. Not good about the stoma though - they should be checking regularly surely? Really hope you can have him moved asap as it's so upsetting for you all xx

I really don't think I could eat 15 syns every day - went slightly over yesterday but only due to the takeaway. I will stick to my usual 5-7 this week.

Need to go food shopping and take DD too today. She is back to uni later and we like to send her off with some food for the first week.

    Food today:
    B - Poached egg, 1 x WM toast, 2 satsumas - P, 1/2 HEB, S
L - Golden savoury rice, carrot sticks, celery sticks - free, S
D - SW Cheesy Tuna Pasta Bake (from 50 Golden Greats book) - 3.5 syns
    HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
    Syns - 3.5 planned

The tuna pasta bake uses artichokes and quark, so will be using the second can and the remainder of the pot of quark. Not sure I'm all that keen on either so will be good to get them gone!

    Have a good day all
    Coxy

Went over my syns for the day last night I just couldnt stop snacking. Mother nature clearly wanted me to pack it in though, as I was eating a Go-ahead bar I had a shooting pain in a sensitive tooth that I have and it was agony for the rest of the night! Going off weekly syns though I am ok, just a little blip

Sounds like a horrible situation @bubbs

Well done @Coxy11 on your loss and boo to that 1lb gain @Jellybaby hopefully that'll come off next week for you

    Today's food:

B- overnight oats (0.5 for yoghurt) with fruit, cuppas
L- jacket potato (0.5) with tuna mayo (2) and salad leaves
D- chilli with rice and veggies

    No other syns planned (hopefully)
