Managed a 1.5lb loss today which I am happy with, would have liked a little more but a loss is a loss! OH is also following the plan with me and has lost 5lbs in his first week, the show off! 😆 So pleased for him as he's really unhappy with his weight, hopefully we can spur each other on and keep each other motivated.
This week's loss also takes me into overweight rather than obese on BMI and my clothes are starting to feel the tiniest bit looser so happy to see some non scale changes too.
Went a bit off plan today but straight back on it tomorrow!£1 a day for 2023 #58 £165/£3650 -

Morning all, thought an early morning (for me) might be a good idea so that I'll sleep when having an early night tonight for the 4 o'clock start tomorrow morning! Why do we always end up on early flights? Doesn't help of course that it's a good hour or so to the airport and because we need to use the M25 it can often be nearer 2 hours!
Well done @cherry_22 that's a good loss - it's what SW recommend you lose ie between 1 and 2lb a week. It's a proven fact that men lose weight much easier and quicker than women so his bigger weight losses will probably continue but at least he is following the plan and losing which should make it easier for you.
My DH wants to lose some but only follows SW to the extent of eating SW meals and most snacks are low syn or could be HEBs like cereal bars. He also eats much more than me between meals, whereas I'm happy to have some fruit and yoghurt or just a piece of fruit he's more likely to grab a cheese sandwich!
@VALM - a Maintain is still a good result - it isn't a gain. Just stick to plan this week and you should see a loss next WI day.
@beanielou - why are you eating junk? It might be better to just not have the junk in the house! Hope you can get your head back in the game soon.
Still using stuff up out of the fridge/freezer/cupboards today! So today's plan:
B - porridge, frozen fruit - HEB; S; F
L - burger, onions, lettuce, sliced gherkins in pitta bread - 6.5
D - lamb chops, mash, veg - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - WM pitta 6; LF burger 0.5
Have a good day everyone.
Back next week after my holiday. Will try to read from time to time but no idea what the wifi will be like at the hotel we're going to.

@joedenise have a great holiday! Your DH sounds like a lot like mine as in he is eating SW friendly at meal times but still making better choices for snacks but eating more of then than I am! Still without the constant junk food the weight has fell off.
I'm happy to lose my weight slowly this time around. When I did SW years ago I lost 3.5 stone in a short space of time but found it hard to maintain and may have ended up thinner than I really wanted to be, so I've adjusted what I guess I'd want my target weight to be and see if that's easier to maintain.
@beanielou I hope you get your head back in the game soon
Today's food
B- fruit and yoghurt (0.5)
L- bacon and tomato sandwich with pickles
D- chicken pasta arrabiata with salad
More syns to come no doubt! Have a great day everyone x£1 a day for 2023 #58 £165/£3650 -
Morning all,
Well done on the maintain @VALM x
Great loss @cherry_22 and well done to your DH too. My DH eats SW-friendly for dinner but has whatever he likes for breakfast and lunch. He could do with cutting out the beer though!
Have a great holiday @joedenise x
The Spanish fish and potato bake had artichokes so in true MIL-style, DH went to Waitrose for them and bought 2 cans and a mint jelly for £6.50! He also tumble dried all the washing yesterday despite me asking him to either peg out or put on the airer. No way we will be retiring any time soon if he can't rein in the money-haemorraging!
Today's food:
B - poach egg, 1 x WM toast - P, 1/2 HEB
L - golden vegetable rice, cherry toms, carrot sticks - free, S
D - Creamy hidden-bean pasta (a Tesco mag recipe I will adapt for SW-friendly) - free, some S
HEA x 2 - milk (dinner uses 200ml)
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - none planned as yet
Have a good day all

One and a quarter pound loss on my home scales yesterday, I was another that was a little down on that number initially as it makes if seem like such a long and slow road but then I put it into context of what that would amount to over a year (also what it could possibly amount to by my main holiday at the end of June) and I was a little happier.
Smaller progress is still progress, I've got to just keep telling myself that and not get so critical/down about it.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.2 -
Every loss is a loss @SingleSue and slow and gradual is the key to keeping it off. You're doing so well and it's great that you have a holiday in June to look forward to. Just think what you could achieve by then xxCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings1
