Oh that’s sneaky! I haven’t bought them for ages actually as I had a couple of packs in the freezer which I’m slowly working through.

Yes I spotted that, as I bought a pack on Saturday and still had a bit of last weeks pack and they were different.

The whole meal soft pittas are a healthy B or 7.5 syns.

@Coxy11 - yes it was MM hospital!  4 hours was actually quite good I think these days!  I heard on Radio Kent the other day that in December MMH had only managed to see 46% of patients within the 4 hour window they're supposed to see people in!

    Hi all,

sorry but what does MM & MNH mean?  I am not good with appreciations.

Also @Coxy11 mentioned “POA”, what does that mean? It’s just so I can understand the post.

@joedenise I will need to have a look to see what I have in my cupboards. I don’t mind spicy food, just not really hot.

    Thank you 😊 xx
MM and MMH is there local hospital

    POA is power of attorney
@Abbafan - @bubbs is right; MM is both mine and Coxy11's local main hospital.  I have a Minor Injury Unit nearer but unfortunately no doctors there so need to go to the proper A&E for anything they don't feel equipped to deal with and that's a good 40 minute drive away (on a good day!  can take over an hour in the rush hour!).

Need to check the weather forecast for today as want to get some washing done today if I can before I go off to town for a waxing appointment at lunchtime - need a good defuzz before my holiday.  Also want to get the bedding washed before we go too so will do that tomorrow as I'm fairly sure the weather is dry tomorrow.

    Today's plan:

    B - breakfast hash topped with a couple of fried eggs - P; S; F
    L - tuna and cucumber sandwich - HEB; P; S; 0.5
    D - hunter's chicken, roast potatoes, roasted veg, green veg - P; S; F; HEA

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - mozzarella
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LTL mayo 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all.  Have 2lbs to go to get to the next stone bracket @maman so have my eyes on that as an interim target at the moment and if I can lose 1lb a week then I'll be at target before our cruise in August, where I need to be sensible because we have a wedding to go to a week later and I don't want to have to buy another dress for it (I already have one in my wardrobe that was a little tight when I was 5lbs lighter than where I am now).

It's about -6 this morning but I still got up and did my workout.  Currently sitting here in my fleecy leggings and a dressing gown, hoping I warm up soon as have to run a training session this morning.  Had porridge with banana and a tiny bit of local honey for breakfast, lunch will be more butternut squash soup and dinner is a veggie filled pasta bake.

Right time for another coffee - hope everyone has a good day!

Morning all, brrr it's a frosty start here!

Sorry to confuse people with acronyms - my bad x

Hugs going out to the poorlies with sore eyes and knees xx Should take more water with it......   ;)

I'm intrigued by soft pitta - where do you get them and are they wholemeal?

DH has driven to Birmingham this morning. I'm WFH. I definitely got the better deal. When I got home last night he hadn't even started dinner and then the pup was sick on the new stair carpet! So I had to deal with that as DH was cooking! Hoping it was a one-off episode.

I'm hoping to donate blood at lunchtime. My usual venue is fully booked but they are appealing for more donors, so I'll drive a short distance to Swanley. It's an early afternoon appointment so I'll take a later lunch.

    Food today:
B - fruit wheats, FF yoghurt, blueberries - HEB, S
L - lo spaghetti bolognaise, parmesan - free, HEA
D - SW creamy mustard pork with greens, carrots, mashed potato - free, some S
    HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar - 3 plus whatever snack they have at blood donor centre.

Recipe for Sweet and Sour pork to follow.

    Have a good day all,
    Coxy

Sweet and Sour Pork - from SW Best Loved Extra Easy recipe book
    Serves 4
    1 syn per serving

    Low calorie spray
500g lean pork fillet, visible fat removed, cut into chunks
1 large onion, cut into chunks
1 red pepper, deseeded and cut into chunks
1 yellow pepper, deseeded and cut into chunks
2 carrots, peeled and cut into matchsticks
    50g fresh bean sprouts, rinsed
    200g sugar snap peas
    150g prepared fresh pineapple

    For the sauce
    200ml boiling chicken stock
    2 garlic cloves, crushed
    1 level tbsp cornflour
    1 tbsp tomato puree
    2 tbsp white wine vinegar
    4 tbsp dark soy sauce

Spray a non-stick wok or large frying pan with low calorie cooking spray and place over a high heat. Add the pork and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes or until lightly browned. Transfer the pork to a bowl with a slotted spoon, cover and keep warm.

Put all the vegetables into the pan and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes. Return the pork to the pan and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes or until the meat is cooked through.

Meanwhile, mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

Stir the sauce and the pineapple into the pork and vegetables and cook for 3-4 minutes. Serve hot with Thai fragrant/jasmine rice garnished with shredded spring onions (I served with thin dried noodles)

@Coxy11 - if you're near Swanley wouldn't Darenth Valley hospital be nearer than MM?

Soft pittas are available as white or wholemeal but only wholemeal are HEB.  I very rarely buy them as don't think about it, not even sure if Tesco sell them!  When I got them before I bought them in Morrisons.  I think they're nicer, and a bit bigger, than the mini wholemeal pittas.

Looking forward to the sweet and sour pork recipe.

Morning all from a very cold and frosty central Scotland.

Food-wise @maman I tend to stick to plan WFH. It has advantages of eating when I want and making something hot for lunch or even just nipping downstairs for a tea or coffee when I fancy it - or need warmed up!  I'm always swayed by canteen menus or cafe trips when I go into the office as we're not allowed to eat at our desks and the 'eating area' is usually too busy for me!

Think it was Morrison's I bought the soft pittas. Because they're in the freezer I tend to forget about them but I was rummaging at the weekend looking for something else (yes, I've still to inventory the cupboards and freezer 🤣) I came across them. They were pinging at my brain yesterday 😂

    Today's food:
B - baked oat muffins with strawberries and banana
    L - lentil soup
D - h/made meatballs with spaghetti, parmesan (HEXA)
Syns - none planned and still have HEXB too if I need it

    Have a good day everyone!
