Well done on your loss @ruby_eskimo. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ Have you got a next target that you're aiming for?πŸ€”

Sorry to hear about your accident @joedenise. That's the last thing you needed before your holiday. So glad it wasn't any worse or it could have ruined your plans.Β

No snow here @Jellybaby, fortunately we're too near the sea. It's getting colder though. Hope WFH is good for SW. 😊 You'd have more control than eating out but more temptation too. πŸ€”

How infuriating that your mum is so uncooperative @Coxy11 after you'd given up a big chunk of your weekend.πŸ‘Ώ

Egg and chips is one of my favourite meals @SingleSueπŸ˜‹, great that you can do that in the omelette maker.Β

@joedenise is right @Abbafan1972, the more you have vegetables rather than meat then the cheaper your meals will be. One of our cheapest meals is a veggie chilli. I batch cook in the SC so cheaper to cook as well. I use the Hairy Biker's chilli con carne recipe but leave out the meat, add extra beans, a handful of lentils and extra vegetables (carrots, peppers, mushrooms etc) and stick with the beef stock (as we aren't vegetarian) so that the flavour stays much the same. My current batch has red beans, chick peas and a tin of cheapo baked beans from Aldi.Β

I've cut down massively on the meat in Bolognese too, adding extra veg and some lentils instead.Β

I've got 40+ syns left until Thursday but probably won't use any of them. I don't feel huge but I don't feel thinner either so who knows what the scales will say at WI. I'm just plodding on. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- ham, fried egg (P), fried veg, pickles (S), 1 potato (F)
D- baked cod (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), carrot chips, broccoli, sugar snaps, tomato, mushrooms (S)
    Syns- 0
  • @Abbafan1972 for cheap meals I like a sweet potato curry, to bulk it a little more I sometimes throw in white potatoes, then just add whatever veg I have about. It just seems to taste better as the week goes on.Β
    Β
I always think its a bit of a fallacy when people say its expensive to eat healthily, the cheapest meals are often the healthiest, my SP & veg curry can feed me all week and costs less than Β£5. Growing up my Mum always said we ate better the weeks we had less money.

@Coxy11 - yes it was MM hospital! Β 4 hours was actually quite good I think these days! Β I heard on Radio Kent the other day that in December MMH had only managed to see 46% of patients within the 4 hour window they're supposed to see people in!

    Hi all,Β

sorry but what does MM & MNH mean? Β I am not good with appreciations.Β

Also @Coxy11 mentioned β€œPOA”, what does that mean? It’s just so I can understand the post. Β

@joedenise I will need to have a look to see what I have in my cupboards. I don’t mind spicy food, just not really hot.Β

    Thank you 😊 xx
