    Afternoon all ,

Thanks you are all so kind 🥰

I feel better today than yesterday, i couldn't speak without crying yesterday, i don't know why but i am waking up at the same time every night/morning 2.15 then takes me ages to get back to sleep, then of course the alarm is going off 🙄 i just think i am mentally drained.

I am also worried about seeing him tomorrow as obviously it really upset last time, but positive head on Mum said he is so much better, only shouted a couple of times, tried to shave himself , ate all his tea, a couple of his biscuits and a bit of chocolate 👏👏

Yes i have been on plan but not ate as much as i normally do and few days only had 2 meals not 3.

Well done to all the losers 👏👏

Coxy hope you are feeling ok now x

Dirty Rice n Peas recipe from SW Free Food A-Z book (there are other recipes on the website)

Serves 4, free, ready in 45 minutes

3 celery sticks, cut into small chunks
    1 onion, roughly chopped
1 small butternut squash, peeled, deseeded and cut into small chunks
2 yellow peppers, deseeded and cut into small chunks
2 unsmoked gammon steaks, visible fat removed, cut into bite-sized chunks
    2 garlic cloves, crushed
    1 bay leaf
1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves, plus sprigs to serve (does anyone actually do this...?)
    1 heaped tsp Cajun seasoning
    250g dried long-grain rice
    750ml boiling chicken stock
400g can or carton of black beans, drained

Place large non-stick casserole pan over a medium heat. Add celery, onion, squash, yellow peppers, gammon and 3 tbsp water and cook for 10 minutes or until the veg are beginning to soften, stirring frequently. Add a splash more water if needed.

Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, thyme, Cajun seasoning and rice, stir well and pour over the stock. Bring to the boil then cover, reduce the heat to very low and simmer for 12 minutes.

Stir in the black beans and warm through gently. Season with freshly ground black pepper and scatter with thyme sprigs to serve.

Thanks for the recipe @Coxy11. With the gammon, it sounds like a good meal. I certainly don't decorate with thyme sprigs, mostly because I use dried herbs.

Hope tomorrow goes well for you @bubbs on both fronts. 🤞

Hey i forgot to tell you with everything going on.

Remember the lady i mentioned that was SW woman of the year few years ago that lost 18 stone and i said i saw her a few weeks ago and she had put about 5 /6 stone back on?

Well last Saturday when we was going hospital Mum needed to pop in Farmfoods and she works there now, she told be she had re-joined 👏 the previous Tuesday , i said oh here we go then 15/6lb losses in a week as this is how she loses but she is also a BIG gainer,  she said funny you should say that i weighed myself this morning and it looks like 15lb .
I said message me how you get on, she said i bet i won't lose that as i suffer with lipedema and i chose Tuesdays as i don't work but they have asked me to work next Tues.

Anyhow she messages me, she only went and lost 20lb 😱😱, she will get her 2 stone award this week i bet 😱

Typical!  I'll be on holiday.  Last time they did that if you are over 60 and shop on Tuesday you got both discounts so if you get the over 60 discount try and shop on Tuesday.

Hope everything goes well for your dad @bubbs tomorrow.  Good luck for WI too - will be interesting to see if not eating as much as usual makes any difference.
