Hugs to everyone going through it all at the moment and hats off to you for staying on plan. Personally I had a stinker of a year in 2022 we lost a few family members including our beautiful dog and it just sent me off the rails food-wise. I'm an emotional eater at the best of times but just used this as even more of an excuse. So I'm in awe of you all!
Tomorrow is my first WI and I'm looking forward to seeing how much I've lost. I've stuck with the plan and not gone over my syns. I have found it tough going on a couple of days but taking on board the tips that some you fab people have given me I really hope it'll get easier.
Next shopping trip I'll definitely get some cold meats to stop me eating the synful stuff and @maman I've also been eating beetroot straight out of the jar, glad I am not the only one does this haha
Today's food:
B - scrambled eggs on toast, small squirt of HP sauce (0.5)
L - batchelors tomato onion and herb pasta n sauce (0.5) added butter (1) with cheese (HEA), pickles and salad
D - WW sweet and sour chicken (3.5) with rice and veggies
Syns: not sure yet will see what I fancy tonight£1 a day for 2023 #58 £165/£3650 -
Your food looks amazing as always @bubbs but the size of those pickled onions 😳 I need them! What brand are they or where did you get them?Good luck for WI tomorrow @cherry_221

I feel like I’ve eaten loads today - lunch and dinner both massive portions and all freeeeeeeee! The dirty rice and peas was meant to serve 4 but we got 6 portions so that’s lunch for DH and DD tomorrow when I’m in the London office 😊Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings1 -

Morning all,
Well done on your loss and SOTW @VALM - great stuff! I hope the SOTW basket had lots of goodies. Ours is usually pretty poor but now there are more members I'm hoping it will improve.
Off to the London office today. It's meant to rain this afternoon so I'll take my brolly. I also have my new mini insulated cool bag that DS1 and DIL2B got me for Christmas (I requested one), It's larger than my 'little brown bag' from Bloomingdales and zips up.
Food today:
B - overnight oats, mullerlight (new cinnamon bun flavour!), frozen cherries - HEB, 0.5, free
L - LO spaghetti bolognaise from the freezer, grapes, cherries - all free
D - salmon and pea pasta (Gino recipe) - 2 syns for single cream element
HEA - milk
Syns - hi fi bar 3, 0.5, 2 = 5.5 total
I too marvelled at the enormous pickled onions. I usually get silverskins!
Have a good day all

A half pound loss for me and a 3.5lbs loss for middle son at official weigh in today.I'll take that, although I can't help but have a twinge of disappointment. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Morning all, have weighed at home and it looks as though it's a loss so going to hope for the best and go to group. I need to go to the town where group is as need to go to Lidl and Sainsbugs and they are both in the same town.
Don't be disappointed with a small loss - they all add up over time. I actually got to target mainly losing 0.5lb a week with just the occasional lb loss so it was definitely slow going for me.
Well done of getting SOTW @VALM. Our SOTW bags are usually quite good with plenty of tins which to my mind are better than loads of fresh stuff and you can use them over time rather than having to rush to use stuff up!
Hugs to everyone who has family difficulties at the moment. Thinking of you.
Today's plan:
B - plain omelette - P (would normally have a mushroom one but no mushrooms left until I shop!)
L - tuna mayo and cucumber sandwich - HEB; P; S; 0.5
D - chicken tikka, rice - P; S; F (recipe from the SW cards we got at the beginning of the year which is slightly different to the recipe I usually use so be interesting to see how different they taste)
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; may have something else later
Will come back with my WI result later!

Morning all,
Well done to the losers! I love getting SOTW (not that it happens very often!) the few times I've had it there's always something I don't normally buy or would normally dismiss and end up loving!
Just sorted out car insurance and disgusted that it's risen over £70 for the year. Checked all comparison sites and called current provider but they were still the cheapest option. Busy and expensive day as I've also got someone coming to fix the guttering at the back of the house.
Today's food:
B - 40g cheerios (HEXB), f/f Greek yoghurt, raspberries and mango
L - ham salad with pickles (enjoyed it so much yesterday!)
D - chicken fajitas with loads of veg (without the wrap or I may syn if want one)
Have a good day everyone!

I know I shouldn't be disappointed, I really shouldn't as that is the Christmas weight gain gone plus half a pound and actually 1lb since last week - the half pound being compared to my last official weigh in on the 21st December.I put on just under 6lbs over Christmas. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
