Morning all sorry to hear about your dad @bubbs.  Can't really offer any advice at the moment as having issues with my own dad - have to take him for a CT scan next week after he told me over Christmas that he'd been having some rather concerning symptoms for over 6 months.  Consequently brain is a little all over the place so just popping in quickly with a menu for today before I need to try and concentrate on a presentation I need to give at work today.

Breakfast was scrambled egg on toast after my workout, lunch is a repeat pea and spinach falafel salad (I added some apple to my salad yesterday and it was a revelation!) and dinner is homemade chicken in black bean sauce.

Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those that need them.

    Morning all,

What's that saying it never rains but it pours?  Well, mother's urgent hospital tests that were finalised yesterday morning over the next two weeks had to be cancelled by the afternoon as parents tested positive for covid!!  So far all of us in contact are testing negative - no idea how!

@bubbs it would be good if your dad could get home as he seems happiest and calm when your mum's there and she will prefer this too but it will be a lot of work, even with a good care package.  Hope you get a happy solution, take care xx

Stuck to plan yesterday but when I finally sat down last night had the last piece of M&S shortbread with my coffee - it was either that or wine

    Today's food:
B - sweet omelette, banana, raspberries, Kvarg (0.5 syns)
    L - ham salad, pickles
D - fish and chips, peas, carrots, sweetcorn (counting 4 syns for breadcrumbs and probably 2 for tartare sauce)

    Have a good day everyone!

Sorry forgot to say well done @annabanana82 and Jellybaby on your losses and @beanielou on your STS.

Have just chopped up some chicken and put to marinade in the fridge for chicken tikka tomorrow night.  Need to pop in to Tesco after we've been to lunch, there's a big one near the pub we're going, as need more garlic ready for tomorrow so will do as much of my shopping list as possible although there are a few things I need to get to Morrisons for.

First official weigh in of the year for us tomorrow, I've not been feeling 100% since Christmas as I completely overdid it (energy wise although food wasn't too far behind) which has led to my system coming to a complete stop, pain levels go through the roof and nothing (fluid or solids), processing as they should. I've been trying everything to get it all going again in time for weigh in and my own general health but the thing my body needs most is complete rest and with work and mum, it's not always possible.

That said, the scales as of this morning are looking not too bad and fingers crossed it should be a small (as in tiny) loss from the last official weigh in pre Christmas but annoyingly, probably not as good as it should be unless a miracle happens today and my body behaves. It could of course go the other way and decide it doesn't want to do anything at all today which could result in a STS or a gain.

In NSV news, everything is getting too big for me. My cardigan/jacket like thing I wear in bed which used to be an item I would wear on an evening out, is now starting to swamp me and look a bit ridiculous, my nightshirt is gaping massively at the top, I have to pull my jeans up to just under my bust, my bra is on its tightest setting but is starting to feel too loose and my boobs are starting to become lost in the cups.

I've been completely on plan since just after Christmas (the 29th), even ignoring my mince pies which I absolutely love, not eating left overs or the Christmas treats (much to mum's annoyance as she relies on us helping her make it disappear) and only having less than 2 glasses of wine on NYE. I tried another SW meal from Iceland yesterday, a beef pasta dish which although a little too much of a kick for me, was palatable when 2 x low fat babybel were added (HEA) and I would have it again.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Big hugs for all of you with family worries and responsibilities at this time. 🤗 One thing we do know is that eating healthily is good for us and something we can control so keep plodding. 😊

Well done on your loss @annabanana82. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I'd happily settle for STS at this time of the year @beanilou.👍🏼

I've not weighed since before Christmas either @SingleSue. Fortunately I have one more week until I have to go to group. I'm so envious of those who have shifted all the excesses already. I'm sure I haven't. 🤞🏼 for your WI. Great news about the NSVs. I think it's worth keeping some of those baggy clothes as a reminder.

I put a skirt on last night I'd not worn for a while and oh dear was it tight across the stomach! I was pleased when I took it off to see it's a size 10 but I'm sure it's normally much looser. My clothes go from 10s to 16s depending on brand/cut etc. Unfortunately whenever I gain a few pounds it goes on my stomach and then my thighs.

Hope you find something SW friendly for your lunch @joedenise. We were meant to be meeting friends tomorrow but it's been postponed until next month. I'm secretly pleased as it gives me the chance to stay 100% on plan.  😊

Well done on getting on with your exercise @ruby_eskimo despite not feeling brilliant lately. I often think that the feel good factor from exercise is as beneficial as the physical side.

    Today's EE plan-
B- HEB toast, baked beans (F), bacon and fried egg (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- cold chicken (P),1 potato (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- baked salmon (P), roast potato cubes, few peas (F), roast cauli, tomato, mushroom, green stuff (S)
    Syns- 0

@SingleSue - that's a great NSV with your cardigan being far too big and your bra no longer fitting properly!  I think that's where a lot of us notice changes - I certainly did.

I did manage to find something very SW friendly at the put today @maman.  I had 3 x 5oz gammon steaks on a bed of roasted onions and peppers (I only ate 2 and bought one home for lunch tomorrow!), corn on the cob, mixed salad, tub of sweet chilli sauce but only had about a tspful.  DH had the same except he had fries and onions rings - he did however manage to eat all 3 gammon steaks.  I'm going to syn it as 2 as there was a little oil on the onions and peppers plus the tsp of sweet chilli sauce.  I also had a G&T so 3 more syns.  I'm happy with that.

It's daft how we seem to have a range of sizes that all fit isn't it?  I've got from 10-14 but mainly wear a 12.  Hopefully you can shift that bit that's making your skirt a bit tight.

I've had a good week all round but feeling as though I've put some weight on so not sure whether I'm going to group tomorrow - will see what my scales say in the morning!  Don't want to go if I've put on as would put me out of target again.
