Morning all,
It was this one @joedenise
https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/sainsburys-lamb-hot-pot-recipe-mix-inspired-to-cook-41g
I did it in the SC so may be different/better done in the oven, I just didn't want to have it on for hours due to cost.
We went to a pub quiz last night and came 3rd!! Highest ever placing for DH and his mates - he should invite me and DD more often lol! Up at 2.30am coughing so now feel like a wet rag!
I find automatics fine to drive @bubbs - hope you get on okay with it today x
Well done on your loss @beanielou - every little helps (will be telling myself that if I get a loss on Saturday!) I make my carbonara the same as @joedenise - last step very important else you'll end up with scrambled egg and spaghetti
Food today:
B - grapes, satsuma, 1 WM toast with tsp jam - Free some S, 1/2 HEB, 0.5
L - ham, salad leave, tomatoes, pickles - P, S
D - minced beef bolognaise bake - Free some S, HEA
HEA - milk
1/2 HEB - hi fi bar
Syns - 0.5 plus a medicinal rum n pepsi max later so 3.5 total (I have 5 unopened bottles of rum in the house plus one on the go)
Have a good day all

Back again with my menu plan for today now that I've eaten! Good morning all. Going to get a couple of machine loads of washing done and onto the line today as it's forecast to be dry; hopefully it will dry but if not will end up on the airer overnight again!
Well done of coming 3rd in the pub quiz @Coxy11; the last time we were involved in one was when we were away in the motorhome and there were teams of 6 and between us we had a good spread of knowledge in all areas - we were the only table to get politics questions right! Our table won but unfortunately all the prizes were chocolates! Think ate one and let DH have the rest. Shame about the hotpot - was it because it was a bit wet that you didn't like it? Did you reduce the amount of water as you don't need as much in the SC.
Well done on the loss @beanielou - every little helps as they say.
Today's plan:
B - creamy mushrooms on toast - HEA2; HEB; S
L - LO bolognaise with LO rice - P; S; F (wouldn't normally eat with rice but needs using up!)
D - sausages, mash, veg - S; F; 2
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Primula Light
HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2 not sure what else may have a couple of water biscuits with a bit of stilton again same as I did last night
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all, another dark, wet depressing day here! DS laughed last night when I said I can't wait for better weather to get washing out on the line again but it's true!
The bolognaise pasta bake was lovely last night and even better, made so much I have l/over for lunch today (and probably tomorrow too). Didn't make the sauce any different to how I usually make it but even DS commented.
I want to do a proper inventory of the freezer and cupboards soon as I need to be a bit more savvy with the food budget. Hoping for early retirement next year, I want to use this year to really get on top of things and save as much as possible. DS is on the hunt for his first home too so it's all happening 😁
Today's food:
B - 45g bran flakes (HEXB), f/f Greek yoghurt, banana
L - l/over bolognaise bake
D - h/made smoked haddock fish cakes with salad, pickles and salsa (need to check syns for a couple tbsp)
Have a good day all.

First official day of SW today. I joined online yesterday but had a half-on, half-off day as I was meeting my mum in town for lunch .. ended up with a herby tomato soup with focaccia bread followed by a gin and tonic. My last mini blowout
I've been food shopping today and stocked up on fruit and plenty of veg and a few low syn snacks. Snacks were my downfall last time around so I'm hoping my willpower will hold out and make me not throw the whole lot into my mouth after I've had a bad day. Instead of the bar of galaxy I wanted while on TOTM I've bought options hot chocs, hoping that'll give me a nice little choc hit this evening if I need it.
I've got 2 zoom SW classes this evening, I was pleasantly surprised that they do those with the online membership. One is a new member masterclass which I'm sure will be handy, the other is one is about easy lunches so I'm hoping to get some good tips there.
Food today:
B - porridge (HEB) with apple and cinnamon and a tsp of honey (1), cup of tea with milk HEA, nectarine
L - mccain frozen jacket potato (0.5) with beans and cheese (HEA), salad and pickles
D - veg stir fry with egg noodles (1)
Syns: options hot choc (2), mini cheddar nibblies (4) maybe an alpen light bar if I fancy one later (3)£1 a day for 2023 #58 £165/£3651 -
Hi @cherry_22. Great that you've stocked up and are raring to go. I've just delivered 100 leaflets in my road to promote our group which is relaunching with a new (returning) consultant on Saturday. Body Magic into the bargain yay!
Great that the support is there on Zoom - let us know what tips for lunches you pick up as I could always do with a few new ideas.
Just wanted to check about the apple with your porridge - if you're cooking it then you will need to syn it. If it's fresh chopped apple then it's free. I'm sure you already know this though!

Welcome officially to SW! Hope you find the Zoom classes useful. You have planned a good day there with plenty of Speed fruit and veg although there doesn't seem to be any Protein (other than the cheese HEA at lunchtime). You need to Protein foods to keep you feeling fuller for longer.
Having looked at your menu plan I wonder if you are actually vegetarian or is just an unusual day that has accidentally become a veggie day?
If I fancy chocolate I find a couple of squares of dark chocolate hits the spot so I always keep some in the fridge. I don't actually like hot chocolate so Options isn't any good for me.
Keep posting your menu plans it will help you stick to plan.

Welcome cherry. Glad you’ve got started. I’m an online member and I’ve never heard anything about zoom meetings. I’m also interested in the lunch ideas so let us know won’t you.
I’d cooked up the whoopsie moussaka last night only to find I was the only one in for dinner so the other half is still going begging and everyone went off to work without it so I’m going to have to eat it up. It’s absolutely delicious but very high in syns which leaves me nothing for if I get the naughty nibbles.
My food today
B banana
L Charlie B moussaka (11) and salad
D mushrooms on toast - cooking mushrooms in butter (3.5) - got some lovely mushrooms, all different exotic types in a pack, reduced of course!
snacks babybels and grapes, satsumas
Hea milk and babybels
Heb 2 hovis 400g slices1 -

No bubbs, not at all ! Still reading and picking some recipe ideas, thank you all.
I tend to more active on the pensions board, as I know what I'm talking about there!0 -
@Coxy11 yep I remember about cooked fruit being synned, this was freshly chopped apple so no synning needed thanks for checking though, its daft things like this which I tend to forget
@joedenise no I'm not vegetarian although I don't tend to be a massive meat eater so yep this has accidentally become a veggie day! Thanks for noticing the lack of protein, I'll add some cooked chicken to my stir fry tonight
@Matron_Midge I had no idea about the zoom meetings either, not sure how regular they are and I actually found them by accident in the community section. There seems to be a good schedule of events and hopefully its ok to post this link https://member.slimmingworld.co.uk/features/live-member-events-schedule
I'll certainly post any nice lunch ideas I get tonight, will be armed with my notepad and pen
