@Coxy11 try applying Vapour Rub to your feet at night. This helps my cough.

@Abbafan1972 I had Spaghetti Bol too last night.  I put tinned cherry tomatoes in mine along with the passata and red wine stock pot. Soooo good.

will have to catch up with more posts later.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Afternoon all, been really busy since I got in from group so only just got back on here.  Pleased to say I had a 1.5lb loss and now bang on top end of target range which isn't quite as good as it sounds bearing in mind I forgot to take off my jumper which weighed just over a lb!   At least I won't have to pay next week, LOL!  I've got 2 more WI before I go on holiday so obviously would like to lose a bit more before then.  At least that would give me a bit of leeway on holiday.

Can't say I particularly enjoyed the jackfruit when I tried it and it wouldn't pull for me so didn't turn out like pulled pork.  Maybe it needed longer cooking, I don't know.

I've reserved another Morrisons Magic Bag to collect this evening and it looks like I might actually get this one as it hasn't been cancelled (yet!) although when they've cancelled it's usually been by about 2pm so fingers crossed.  Will let you know what I get later!  I'm hoping for a good amount of fruit and veg like the last couple we've had.

    Well done at WI @joedenise

Thanks for the advice on the jackfruit. I didn't buy it as wasn't sure it was a good price. Ts have 410g/210g drained weight for £1 - might do it when it's just DH and I as just know the offspring will moan!

  • Hi all, good loss Denise and the luxury of having the 1lb jumper to take off when you need to one week.
    todays food :-

L 2slices of a small hovis wholemeal loaf with Heinz sandwich spread (3) satsuma and a nectarine
D Charlie Bigham moussaka for two (11 per serving eeek) - a whoopsie that was in the freezer - large salad
snacks tonight, grapes, babybels and a kvarg yog (1/2)
    14 syns in total
ive now been spot on for 4 days in a row and I’m so hopeful I’ll shift the Christmas gain 🤞🏻🤞🏻
I’ve got carrots to use up so I’m going to have some grated on my salad and I’ll make a carrot and coriander soup for lunch tomorrow.

That's a good start to your weightloss @VALM and you must be delighted with yours @joedenise. 👏👏👏

I'm feeling much less bloated today too @Jellybaby, great what a couple of days eating healthy food can do (and no alcohol either 😉).

I had mackerel for lunch too @Coxy11 (tinned in my case). I never mind how many pickles I buy for Christmas. I get through loads, especially beetroot and cornichons. What brand are those hot ones? 🤔

I put all and everything in my Bolognese, it's always more veg than meat. We've got to like it that way, don't think I'd enjoy just onions and tomatoes any more.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, baked beans (F), 2 fried eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- mackerel in mustard sauce (P), salad bits (S), lentil and vegetable soup (P, S)
    D- veggie chilli (P, S), peas, brown rice (F)
Syns - may take some chocolate to ⚽

Picked up the Morrisons Magic Bag and it was a good one - all fruit and veg and no bread!  Had couple of  lots of satsumas,  and a couple of packs of clementines; pack of celery sticks; pack of mint (used it to make mint sauce tonight but dumped the rest because it was definitely on its' last legs!); some jacket potatoes; pack of apples; pack of pears; small pack of grapes (smallest pack I've ever seen!); 2 iceberg lettuces (half of one used for dinner tonight in braised lettuce, spring onions & peas); bunch of continental spring onions; box of piccolo tomatoes.  Shouldn't need any fruit and veg for a few days!

Sorry to hear your car's had to go to the garage, hope it isn't in there too long or cost too much to sort out.  I wouldn't worry about doing an automatic car - it's easy; just put in D(rive) and drive.  As long as your foot is over the accelerator it will go and over the brake it will stop!  Just keep your left foot back against the seat as you don't need to use it at all!  Good luck.

Apart from driving it , its getting the key out the ignition 🤣 she showed me loads it's not just turn off and pull out, took me ages when i got home 🤣🤣

Good news, just spoke to Mum, she spoke to the actual doctor earlier , Dad is medically fit to come home, care package forms filled in . Dad keeps calling the nurses when they get there he forgets why he called them 🤣🤣
