Your mum should be able to claim housing benefit, council tax benefit & pension credit.

I think they would take into account your dads income to access if he has to pay towards a care home & then he would be left with an allowance for himself.

Great NSV @beanielou. The suggestions from others are great. I would second jacket potatoes or soup - pence to make if you can bulk out with carrots or YS veg. Or pasta with tomato based sauces. Sorry that you’re in this predicament xx

@Coxy11 those additions sound delicious. I’ve pulled another portion of BNS Soup out of the freezer for lunch tomorrow and think I’ll stir in a tsp of Kashmiri Tomato Chutney from Hawkshead Relish Company. I put the nutritional information through the Syns Estimator and it’s half a Syn for a tbsp.

Attended group tonight and lost 1lb which I’m pleased about. I had stuck to my food plan although:-
    (a) someone left 2 x chocolates on my desk at work
    (b) I found a bag in my desk drawer containing 4 x Haribo Star Mix
    (c) I was starving when I got in from group and ate some Wensleydale and Apricot cheese.

oh well, it could have been worse.
