I think you bucked the trend for Christmas gains @TakeItEazy. I feel horribly fat today. ☹️ I'm sure I'm in the higher 6lbs or so bracket. ☹️

I rarely eat yogurt except as a cream substitute whe strawberries and raspberries are in season. I'm assuming you have it for breakfast because it's quick and easy. What about having some hard boiled eggs as well as fruit yogurt? You could cook the eggs the night before and no HEA or HEB used?? 🤔

I did end up with a few syns after all yesterday. I had an early lunch because I was out in the afternoon and was hungry while prepping dinner. I thought I'd pick on the cold pork. Unfortunately I hadn't binned the crackling. ☹️

Today I'm determined to stick to plan. I'm back dancing tonight too so will get some Body Magic in. I can see why you miss your exercise @ruby_eskimo. I feel so sluggish.

    Today's EE plan -
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), HEA milk for drinks
L- cold pork (P), potato and parsnip (F), fried vegetables and pickles (S)
    D- sausage casserole (P, S, F), penne (F)
    Syns - Aldi sausages 1

Delighted to report a fab NSV today.
I got new Levi's last year & can now fit comfortably into them.
    So very pleased.

On another note I need some help.
Due to benefit changes I have no spare pennies for 2 weeks.
So help please with cheap & easy meals.
    Thanks  :)

That's brilliant news @beanielou. Well done on the NSV! 👍

I was just going to suggest that @Matron_Midge tried cooking bacon for the stuffed mushrooms. I buy mine in Asda and chop it into lardons and freeze in portions. I've used it tonight for the sausage casserole. You could try the Tom Kerridge bacon and broccoli pasta. Can't do a link but it's a M&S recipe on Google.

I'd have thought anything with lots of veg and using small amounts of meat or eggs for your protein would be good value. I'm sure there will be others with ideas. 🤗

@beanielou - do you eat things like lentils and pulses?  You can make lots of cheap meals with these.  My favourite is a chana masala using a tin of chickpeas, curry powder and a tin of tomatoes and have with some rice or a jacket potato.

Might be worth looking at the SW website as they've got some cheap recipes using stuff you're likely to have in your cupboards like tuna pasta bake.

Vegetarian meals tend to be much cheaper than anything with meat or fish.  As @bubbs says let us know what you've got in stock and maybe we can come up with some ideas for you.

Does anyone know anything about this? Not SW

Mum is worried Dad will have to go in a home, she said she will not be able to afford to live in the bungalow if he does as his pension will stop and she only gets half pension.
Would they take his private pension too?
