The hotpot was very underwhelming - I thought as I used a packet mix it would be a thicker sauce/gravy but just as watery as ever! Not worth the 1.5 syns!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0

Definitely good news @bubbs about your dad. Not sure how the key differs as mine does just pull out! Think I'd struggle with DH's car as it's keyless - knowing me I'd probably forget to take it with me when I got out of the car!
Definitely a good TGTG bag - was really impressed.
Shame about the packet mix not being worth the syns @Coxy11. Which mix was it (so we can all avoid it!?

A wee story on keyless automatics.
I drove them for years.
A good while ago DS & I were both in car.
DS was driving & he got out at the college.
I continued driving to Asda.
Did shopping & realised when got back to car that DS still had keyI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Beanie sorry can't help with carbonara
Funny about the car and key
Suppose it's because i am just used to manualSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
@beanielou - I just use beaten eggs with grated cheese (parmasan if you have it but cheddar will do) to make the sauce for carbonara. Fry off some bacon and onions if you like but not in a normal recipe I just like to add it for a bit of extra flavour and to add some Speed to it. Once the onions and bacon are cooked add the cooked pasta to it and mix it up a bit, include a bit of the pasta water as it will help make the sauce. Remove from heat - this is important - and then stir through the egg/cheese mixture and dish up.
Hope that helps.
